Hey readers! Hope everybody is fine – unfortunately this is not the case with our winter! At my home in Berchtesgaden the last two days where warm like in springtime. So I went fishing and skating. Those of you who know that I had a knee injury probably are surprised now, because I said I went skating. For those who dont know, I blew up my ACL in New Zealand this summer and had to have a surgery. Now, since a few weeks, I´m allowed to ride again. Not high level shit yet but enough to ride the small stuff beside the slopes. In about a month I will be allowed to jump and spin again if everything is going good. So far everything went fine and Inm happy to be back o track. I have good support fom Burton, Oakley, O2 and all my other sponsors so soon you will see me again! Until then, check out my crew at http://www.isenseven.de – good new teasers online now.

Later girls – later boys.

Hey my lil blogreader friends, and also a hey to the tall ones.

I’m at home in Berchtesgaden at the moment – or actually not just at the moment, I’ll probably be here for some time. I have fucked up my knee again almost three weeks ago. I was in Canada and we tried to shoot something in the backcountry even although there was no real backcountry (there was no snow over there around that time). Yeah, well we built a jump and after a while our landing was already pretty much done so we had to land more on the sides of the landing if we still wanted to get shots. So I chose the right angle and down at the bottom of this direction was this tree which seemed not really dangerous to me from up there.

So after I landed on my feet I got some speed but finally felt few meters further, so I couldn´t control my direction anymore and got drawn to the tree which hit my my knee sidewards.

because of this bail I blew up my ligament on the inside and hurt my ACL also again, but luckily my ACL is not blown up and my knee is still strong and stable enough to keep out of a surgery.

It has to heal on its own for now. I’m not sure yet when I will be able to ride again. The doctors say in 6 or 8 weeks if my knee is free for moves then. We will see – just hope it gets strong again, hate riding with a pain in the ass. So at the moment I’m just at home boring and normal. Trying to get to schoolwork done that I missed out and trying to organize myself a car and train for my knee. A few things to do until I will be able to ride again…

But whatever, I hope you guys are still out there – keep on ridin with your boys all day long, this is how we roll it! And by the way there is a new monthly clip online at www.isenseven.de. Go and check, you will love it anyway!

In a while,

Dear Blogreaders,

I’m in Lake Tahoe, California at the moment. We’ve been here a week and most of the time the conditions have been pretty bad but in the last few days it has started dumping. And actually I had my very, very first real powder day for this season. We just spent doing powder runs all day today. A blast! I’m here for another week, then next friday we fly further to Banff in Canada to try and get some shots done there.

At the moment I’m with a small part of the isenseven filmcrew. Originally our trip was supposed to be very different; our first plan was to do a van trip through Switzerland and we had already booked the vans and stuff but two days before we were supposed to leave, our swiss photographer figured out there was no way to do it due to the bad snow conditions. So we cancelled it, booked flights and flew over here to Tahoe the next day!

Then we planned to go to Utah this monday because the rest of our crew is there but then it started snowing here so we decided to stay for a few more days. Our latest plan is to go to Canada next week, I’m not sure yet when exactly I’ll be back home in Germany again. Sounds pretty much like a chaos trip and in a way it is. We are pretty much on the search for the best snow, so I hope we will finally get it.

Hope u guys have fun too.

Dear blogreaders,

It seems we all are sitting in the same boat at the moment. Waiting, waiting and waiting for the right snow to come. Normally I’m used to riding sweet fresh snow after school at this time of the year but this season I’m more sitting on my desk staring out of the window and realising how green it is. However, this morning was different than many before, the trees had some snow on their tops. It was still more green than white but I was lucky that it was white at all. So I keep on waiting and until there is snow at home I will keep on riding somewhere else.

My contest time for this season is pretty much over now. I spent my last months at a bunch of competitions and my plan was to start to film now for the most of the next two months and in school as well unfortunately.

I’m here in Berchtesgaden for the next 10 days now, maybe go riding a bit at resorts in Austria on the weekend and next week I’m supposed to join a film vantrip through Switzerland with a few of my best friends. I’m really looking forward to that, I have vacation then which makes it more relaxed for me.

My brother is going to Utah, USA around that time with the rest of the isenseven crew for filming there. I hope you guys have some good times too, even if there is no good snow, and even if you’re also worried about not getting any powderlines or jumps done this year, cause when it finally comes we will love it more than ever before.

Hey all,

Hope you’re having some good times, although there is still not enough snow out there and it´s going to get warmer again soon.

I did a couple of contests in the last few weeks. I spent a week in Arosa for the World Championships and competed in the pipe. It was kinda alright for me.

Afterwards I went straight to the Burton European Open for the slopestyle and pipe competition there. I had good times there too, met a lot of friends. Didn’t make it to the finals in both comps but in a way I was satisfied with the stuff there. At the moment there is also the new internet movieclip on isenseven online, so you can see what we did over the last month. Check it at www.isenseven.de.

In my last days in Laax where the European Open took place, the new snow came. I spent some hours doing my first powder turns and treeruns. The first time for me that I felt the winter in my face and got caught by the pillows this year. The winter is coming, now I’m infected again, let’s get the party started.

Now I’ve been in Breckenridge, Colorado for four days with the German snowboard team which means Christophe Schmidt, Xaver Hoffmann, Alessandro Mancini, Ethan Morgan, Philipp Strauss and a few more. We have a lot of snow here, Pipe and Park is super sweet shaped and we are having a great time.

On Saturday we are gonna ride the US Halfpipe Grand Prix here. We also met Silvia Mittermüller & her local boyfriend Mike Casanova here who showed us some sweet spots to shred out of the Park here. We are staying till the 21st of December then going back to Germany with the hope there is snow already at home. So if you are bored of the warm conditions in Europe, check the next ticket to Denver and take a ride to Breckenridge…. its worth it!

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Philipp and me had the Pleasure to ride the Rookie Session at the Nokia Air & Style in Munich last week. It was just incredible!!! The whole event was amazing: the organisation, the people, the riding… just everything. The event took place on Saturday 3rd December; it began with our rookie session, this means 10 invited young riders from all over the globe Luke Mitrani, Mikkel Bang, Marco Smolla, Juuso Laivisto… tried to show their best run (2 runs) to win a wildcard for the next years. Mikkel Bang showed the best skills and went home with this award.

Afterwards the main event started with 16 of the best snowboarders in the world. This event was held as a K.O. system. In the first two rounds, two riders had to ride against each other in two runs and the better one goes into the next round. These two rounds already showed the highest snowboarding level I have ever seen, like double corked 1260 from David Benedek, switch double Backflips from Eero Ettala, clean Cab and frontside 1260 from Antti Autti and Shaun White and many other incredible tricks, even a one footed Bs 720 try from Nicolas Müller, this really reminded me of playing Amped on my Xbox. Finally Benedek, Autti, Mattila and Travis rice made it into the super final where this hard level was going on.

At the End Travis Rice took home the Ring of Glory after he nailed his super clean double backflip bs 180. Afterwards Billy Talent and Seed made some good noise for the 25.000 people in the stadium. All I can say the whole Air & Style 06 was insane! For more info, pictures or movies check out www.air-style.com, www.shralp.com or www.isenseven.de.

All the best,

We joined the air and style rookie session and got the biggest flash ever.

Hey guys,

Long time ago since my last blog – have done a lot if things inbetween.

We joined the air and style rookie session and got the biggest flash ever.

First time riding in front of 30,000 people, who scream like crazy when you get your tricks nailed. Never been in this kinda star thing before. Just flashed.

The pro session was even more amazing, never seen such a riding level before, it seemed like each rider tried to reach the limits.

Just the best comp ever. Afterwards I went back to school, just for a few days because last Thursday we flew out to Denver, Breckenridge.

We have been here now for four days. The snow conditions are good and park and pipe perfect. At the end of the week we are going to join the US grand prix there but the main reason for us here is to get some new tricks for the season done. The possiblities are good for it so I hope it will work out also!

Yeah that´s it for now, hope you guys get snow in europe soon also.

Have a good one.

Hey Guys,

We are in Saas Fee, Switzerland at the moment. Joining the world cup with the national team there. The conditions are not that good, the pipe is really icy and there is a freezing cold wind all the time. So yeah, it’s not that easy to ride here. But it snowed the last few evenings so the first runs up at the mountains offered us some fresh powder turns. Hell yeah.

yesterday was the first contest day, it went not that bad for each of us but nobody on our team made it to the final. It was our friend Xaver Hoffmann’s Birthday so we went out for some beers later.

Today is a day off but on Friday we have qualification for the second comp again. Afterwards we will go to Hintertux or Dachstein for the weekend just for riding a bit on the jumps there to practice for the air and style next week. Same as last weekend, we both don’t feel that safe on kickers still and so we have to change this quickly now. Well whatever, next weekend air and style games in Munich, watch out. Take care.

Hey fellas.

What´s up? We had a fun time at the Dachstein Pleasure Jam this weekend.

At this session I blew up my ACL last year together with my brother. So it’s already one year ago now. Fuck yeah.

We both didn’t join the comp at the weekend, just spent our time doing some fun filmshots for isenseven and shot some fotos as well. It had some new fresh snow so I was already able to do my first powderturns again also.

After riding we spent a lot of time by playing pool games for hours.

It was definitely a good time, and I’m already looking forward to the next days on snowboard. But before I have to do some school and finally have to find a car for Tobi & me. At the end I want to mention the new movie of isensevenmedia is available – it’s called “Prediculous” and shows a nice combination of good snowboarding and lots of fun moments. Created and edited by Alex Schiller and Vincent Urban. For me it was a blast to watch it! www.isenseven.de.

Have a good one.
