Here we are at the legendary Mt.Baker Banked Slalom. Surprised by good weather we went up the mountain quite early to check out the guys riding the slalom. Since we came in too late for inscription the night before we were not able to participate ourselves. But we met lots of friends that competed in the event, like Wolle Nyvelt, Eric Themel, Martin Cernik, DCP, Pat McCarthy, Terje and many more.
The Banked was fast and everyone was motivated to give their best. After a chill and grill on top of the mountain we met up with Paavo Tikkanen and Johnny Lyall from Endeavour Snowboards to go for a session in the Funpark(since there was no fresh powpow). Laurent and Luki were killing the rails and boxes, while the rest of us hit the jump- and hip-combos(3 Jumps, 4 Hips).
At night they had a nice Bonfire going on in the parking lot just in front of our mobilehomes with Fireartists and a Dog-Freestyle Show to entertain the whole crowd. What a fun day! Tomorrow we will cruise up to Vancouver to shred Grouse Mountain and Mt.Seymour with Paavo and Jhonny who will be with the crew for the next days.
Stay tuned for our next adventures!
