The Action Scouts kindly invited the Forum crew to the Pleasure jam 06 in Dachstein // AT – so there we went. On Friday, after arrival, we checked out the new Blue Tomato shop in Schladming which is looking very impressive. If you’re not gonna find your gear in there – then I don’t know where you will. Mundpropaganda was on the decks to keep the shoppers in good purchasing spirits and Völkl team signed some autographs. Later on we went to a crazy party venue that was more or less like a mountain tunnel. The place was packed and vodkaredbulls seemed on the the main target of consumption. The evening was finished in one of the local nightclubs (the only one?) with some dancing & mingling.
The next day opened up in sunshine but the wind was picking up soon – bringing in the clouds and towards the end of the day creating somewhat of a storm. The whole European Forum team was there to represent and rode real good despite the weather conditions that really seemed to affect a lot of riders’ performance that day. The Scandinavian talent pool proved yet again that our drinking water is top class – having Nicky Wieveg from Sweden taking the victory of Pleasure jam second year in a row. Grattis!
Forum hosted a THAT party in the evening and it seemed that good times were had by everyone there.
The next day the wind had still not slowed down (100km/h?) so the gondola up to the glacier was closed down.
Special thanks to Jurgen & Karin for inviting us, and Jan for showing some “powder runs”. Yet another trip to remember!
