According to the info swung our way by our buddy Risto, the Pamporovo Freestyle Open is “the most significant in the Bulgarian freestyle event calendar, combining the disciplines Half-pipe and Slope style, open for ski and snowboard contestants.” For the last four years Bulgarian riders have battled it out in the different contests by day and thrown shapes on the dancefloor to the music acts that go on well into the night for each of the 4 days.
For this edition, they’ve jacked up the slopstyle course to include 3 legit booters and are expecting the riding level to go through the roof. As the PR says, “The competition Pamporovo Freestyle Open 2012 plans to mark new heights of Bulgarian Freestyle scene with unforgettable atmosphere.” If you’re in that neck of the woods make sure you swing by and throw down, or just hang out with the homies.
