Snowboarding is stupid right now. Finnish rookie Roope Tonteri takes the first of what’s bound to be many major contest victories today by edging out Peetu Piiroinen and Chas Guldemond.

We’re sure our man on the ground will post his musings on the full shebang with shots and all later, but with many riders failing to stomp their hyper-spins Roope did just the opposite and after styling through the rails up top launched himself into a cab 9, back 12 double cork and cab 1440, the first one ever landed in a slopestyle comp. There wasn’t even that much Blades of Glory about it either. Roope also had the top 3 highest scoring kicker tricks too… Enjoy the bar later dude.
