Watch Jamie Nicholls Crush Mayrhofen's Vans Penken Park

02:58PM Mon, 21st February 2011

Check out this banging exclusive video of young British rider Jamie Nicholls fully owning Mayrhofen’s Vans Penken Park.

We’ve known Jamie since he was like 9 years old or something. He’s always been precociously talented, but as ever in the case of kids who are super good the question is “Is this kid motivated to push it as far as he can, or is he content to take it easy?” And it would have been easy to think you’re the bomb and wait for everything to come to you when you have David Benedek coming to your home dryslope to film with you at 14, or placing second in the seniors at the Brits while still a grom. We needn’t have worried. Jamie’s a good, humble Northern lad with a solid work ethic to compliment his freakish talents on a snowboard, and now at a mere 17-years-old he’s more than capable of holding his own on an international stage.

That’s in a park, of course. As you’ll see, when you head into the BC it’s a whole other ball game… but he’s young, will learn and if we’re honest we’re just mocking him ’cause not only is he a better rider than we’ll ever be, he could probably pull our girlfriends without even trying, the wee radge.

Anyway, check this video out. He proper crushes the kicker line with a succession of 7s, 9s and 10s, while when he steps over to the rails it’s just a blur of tech jibbing. Seriously, it’s hard to figure out half of what he pops off. 50-50 switch up to hard way cab 3 off? Half cab to 50-50 to back 5 off the end of the Donkey Dick rail? For serious?
