More choice cuts from the fat she-cow that is the world wide web.
After posting last week’s This Week in Snowboarding someone from Barcelona wrote an interesting comment: “stop looking over your neighbors shoulder and copying. this is lazy reporting. its not good to cheat. ever heard of original content” Hey smartass, in this regular we have never copied anything but the links from other websites, which in fact is kind bad for us as we direct traffic away from our website instead of to it. We still wonder what exactly was bugging this person. As we said in our comment reply: Some might prefer reading our print mag, as it is full of original content and free of any hyperlinks. This post, however, will once again bristle with links to what we’ve dug in the internet’s guts…
Even Jeremy Jones bails sometimes. Here is the Back to the Boneyard full movie. Here is some Back to the Boneyard extra footage. Joe Sexton quite obviously has OCD. Chris Grenier lives a good life. Burton and Nokia collaborate on some technology we don’t understand.
The freestyle.ch went down in Zürich. Peetu Piiroinen (who now rocks Nike 6.0 outerwear) won the qualification, and Gjermund Braaten dominated the finals. The Angry Snowboarder has the epic MDP movie Picture This on display. People in Salt Lake City know how to shorten the waiting period until winter. Make sure to ollie high enough. Les Ettes breach out into the tough lip gloss market.
We have the video highlights of the freestyle.ch finals. We present you the second classy Respect Your Elders teaser, and the noteworthy Nitro Anywhere teaser. Our ed in chief presents his frestyle.ch gallery. This Russian teaser is called Pudra and it is really good. Thirsty Convoy’s Danny Buller is a rail machine. Diamond Donny finds his dream board. And goodbye German readership: After waiting a few years if this internet thing really catches on Pleasure Mag launches their own website.
The Tick Tock film was released without any corporate budget. The I Guess… teaser showcases solid Norwegian riding. Even Western North Carolina has a thriving shred scene. Johnnie Paxson rides Bear with a broken wing. The Helgasons go to Japan. In several parts. This is what German fridge riding looks like – at least in this JRBK edit. Former pro rider Todd Franzen fights cancer: This article is worth a read! Here’s a very questionable attempt at doing viral marketing. And here’s a high caliber free snowboard wallpaper.
Isenseven takes us on their California trip. More full movies appear on the net, such as Handmade and Vitamins & Minerals. This Academy video is not only propaganda but also good riding. The Lizard King talks about Shaun White, Ryan Sheckler and nollie boardslides. Anton Bilare and Ludwig Lejkner have a fun day in Saas-Fee. The Roxy Chicken Jam gets cancelled. Our English ed discovers an 11-year-old supergrom. Keegan Valaika talks about the new Gnarly brand. Torgeir Berre sustains a heavy injury. Get well soon! Facebook can’t tell skiers from snowboarders.
Our print mag issue #116 goes on sale. One million people like DC on Facebook (do you like us, too?). Dan Brisse is on the new Transworld cover. And here’s how he did that. Americans obviously warm to the dryslope idea. The Helgasons are still in Japan. Malmi vs Korpela is one interesting read. Wojtek Pawlusiak sessions a nice urban feature. Wow, the Angry Snowboarder is a real person (that talks about the Never Summer patent craze). Kevin Backstrom knows how to do them front and back 10s.
We jump on the ‘let’s give our website a lick of paint‘ craze that sweeps the industry once a year, but chance are you knew about it before we did. The legendary Hintertux Park Opening kicks off today, but Peter König and Werni Stock were up there riding the Betterpark yesterday already. Hara Kiri drop the teaser for Pan Pan on us so we get the chat from editor Manu Vivion. There’s another free movie from stateside that Whitelines call ‘pretty average’, but we give it a link coz till 1 second ago we thought it was called Vag Head.
And that’s yer lot. We’re off to ride Hintertux now. See you there, bitches!
