Our Ed in Chief has just returned from the World Snowboarding Championships in Oslo and, in addition to a crippling level of personal debt incurred at the watering holes and eateries of the Norwegian capital, he returned with some bangers of the action. Check them…

: Niklas Mattsson continued riding strong off the back of his podium at the Air&Style but after qualifying in 1st must have ran out of snus and failed to advance.

: Seb Toutant was sitting pretty in 1st till the last run of the slopestyle finals when Chas Guldemond edged him out.

: If Roope Tonteri had landed his last hit on his last run, we could well be referring to him as World Champion Roope for the next 4 years.

: Alek Østreng was the only Norwegian dude to make the finals in slopestyle and showed solid style throughout.

: Seppe Smits is another who could easily have won had his legs not let him down at the last minute. His back 10 transfer on the middle kicker was one of the highlights of the finals though.

: Halldor Helgason will usually either come first or last such is his hell-for-leather wild style. Sadly he exploded a couple times in the semis and hurt his ankle. Front 9s off the toes are tight. Heal up quick.

: Tyler Flanagan had some buttery smoothness throughout the contest.

: Chas Guldemond had the horn for Norway.

: Silje Norendal is more than good looks but she was one of the many Norwegians who failed to make an impact on their home turf.

: Olivier Gittler owned the quarterpipe all night. McTwist way high.

: The pipe was, according to many, one of the best ever seen.

: It wasn’t happening for Peetu Piiroinen at the WSC and we had the unheard-of sight of him coming last. Better fear the next time he drops in then. He’ll crush it.
