6.0 D-Pad Session Teaser
Nike 6.0 held a rocked up Folgefonna a few weeks back with the aim of allowing the riders to have their most progressive and creative session ever.
This is a chest thumper alright, so here’s the teaser and what it’s all about in their own words, with some teaser shots…
“A few years ago we were making up tricks on computer games; of course it was all just a dream, a fantasy, a way to while away the hours or wind down following a good session, perhaps an opportunity to make a digital rider do the impossible. We would frantically press the D-Pad on the controller in the hope that we could invent the future, we could pretend that those pixels up on the screen were us laying down the absurd and surely impossible tricks.
Fast forward a few years and guess what? Snowboarding has progressed so much that what we were doing back in the day wasn’t so ridiculous after all. This got us thinking, if the controller tapping of yesteryear is the reality of today, what’s in store for tomorrow? We figured we should try and find out. Taking 12 of the world’s best riders we went to a place that has 20 hours of sunlight a day coupled with blazingly epic sunsets. With the Session in play and the Norwegian Fjords as our backdrop we began pressing the reset button.
