Just a little update as to what is going on in the world of Chillchalet…Guess what? IT’S SNOWING!!!
That’s right, after all the doom and gloom leveled at the Alps last winter, we are here to tell you that it is freezing cold and the first snow of the winter has fallen. With over a month until many resorts open this is definitely a good sign, indeed, the ground has been frozen for the best part of three weeks, meaning the snow that has fallen will stick around. If you look closely you will see that Montchavin has even had it’s snow cannons on, to help build up the base on the runs down to the resort.
We think that this winter is going to be a belter, so make sure you don’t miss out on those dates you want and give us a shout.
Remember, you can come for a weekend, a few days midweek, a whole week or even longer, you can arrive whenever you like, borrow our Signal snowboards, enjoy great home cooked food, relax with all our facilities, wax your boards or skis for free, generally, enjoy your holiday the way you want to, it is your holiday, after all.
So what else is new? Well, with the unveiling of the new-look St Pancras station and the high speed rail service, Bourg is now only 7h20m from London, so I guess that makes our chalet in Bourg the closest chalet to London in terms of time. We reckon about 7h22m! Beat that!
Also, we are pleased to announce that we can now offer our guests a 10% discount with our friends at SS20 snowboard shop. For those who don’t know, SS20 is one of the longest running snowboard and skate shops in this fair land and possibly the world, when I first got into snowboarding about 15 years ago, they were about the only place in Southern England where you could get the latest kit, so when I was looking to buy my first snowboard all those years ago, I caught a coach down to leafy Oxford and went to their glorious shop. The offer applies to all online sales too, which is brilliant, so big up the guys at SS20.
Thanks again for taking the time to read our little emails and we hope to see you all in the snow sometime soon.
