Wait! Before you prematurely close this window just because the press release talks about bad weather at day two of the Stylewars in Australia let me point out two highlights in this video: Firstly, you will be amazed to see what riders are capable of doing when officially nothing can be done. Secondly, Seb Toots plays host to this clip, which adds the unique je ne sais quoi of French Canadian English to the action. Do I really need to say more?
Bad weather has forced competition to be delayed for another day on Day Two of Stylewars 2010. But riders have made the most of what Stylewars has to offer by jamming the 28 Stairs rail set-up that has been put in place.
Practicing for tomorrow night, this exciting rail event has become a hugespectacle of Stylewars’ competition format every year. Last year, Sebastien Toutant drew with Charles Reid for the Stairmaster title. With Toutant back again this year for another stellar performance, onlookers are in for a treat when he battles it out under bright lights with the other international headlining riders. And from what we saw at today’s practice session, it looks as though Seb has some strong competition.
As for the slopestyle competition in the park, Stylewars staff will be on weather watch. The snow is bucketing down with 30cm of fresh snow predicted tomorrow. Fingers crossed that tomorrow will clear and bring better conditions for the competition’s final day.
Last night, Bag Raiders and DJ Perplex mixed up a storm on the dance floor, producing one of the most memorable nights that Stylewars has ever witnessed. Tonight to back it up will be Space Invadas, Katalyst and DJ Danielsan for another notorious party, while riders wait in anticipation to see what tomorrow will bring.
