Season end for Freerider in Stuben! The Longboard Classic is the Woodstock of Snowboarding!
Even though this season has not been so glorious, most of us caught at least some days of PowPow what makes life worth living. And therefore for the 8th time in a row Freeriders from all countries will gather in Stuben for the Longboard Classic with one more goal in mind: to enter the ‘Guinness Book of Records’.
This event is the Longboard Classic in Stuben. The stage for the event is the Albona Grat in Stuben, Arlberg, probably the most popular and historic freeride resort in the whole of the Central Alps. After a Le Mans-style mass start at the height of 2,408m, riders will hammer their way down 1,001 metres of off-piste to the village of Stuben (1407m).
Besides the race, another incentive will bring the participants together: this year they’re trying to achieve an entry in the ‘Guinness Book TM of Records’. The Longboard Classic Stuben is nominated for an entry as ‘Most participants in a snowboard race’.
So, if you’re a shredder and have an old school board or a board longer than 170cm in your garage, you should instantly register at www.longboardclassic.com.
