***Nissan Freeride de Tignes Date Change***
The Nissan Freeride de Tignes has has a change in schedule. The Webcast on Freecaster.tv should now go live on Saturday 8 March at around 10:00 CET. Check for updates on Freecaster.
The replay and highlights from the Swatch O’Neill Big Mountain Pro are still available to watch on Freecaster.tv but now the team are gearing up for the next Live Webcast from the Freeride World Tour 08. The Tour continues with the 4th in the series from Tignes.
There will be 44 riders in total, of the men, 16 snowboarders and 16 skiers as well as 6 women snowboarders and 6 women skiers. They are risking life and limb for a cut of the biggest prize purse ever of $300,000. The most consistent riders scoring the most points throughout the five contests will gain the Freeride World Champion title in their respective discipline (snowboard/ski/men/women). Austrian snowboarder, Flo Orley is the leader on the FWT ranking whilst Herik Windstedt is leading the ski FWT ranking but with two events still to run, anything could happen.
Conditions allowing, the Webcast on Freecaster.tv will be Live with the finals on March 9 at 10:00 CET (check for updates on Freecaster) The contest will take place on the challenging Grande Balme face which offers a 500m vertical drop with an average steepness of 40-45 degrees, so if you like watching top class snowboarders and skiers ripping their best, tune into Freecaster.tv on the 9th for some extreme entertainment.
