In our more nostalgic moments we like to think back to the golden age of 2008. Back then yours truly Onboard crew took victory in the unique Oakley Jib-Vid snowboard film competition. Unfortunately, we couldn’t replicate our triumph in 2009 with a meager third place. That doesn’t matter that much anymore, though, as the new 2010 edition is coming up on the 17 to 19 March 2010. And we are already pumped to produce the winning video once again. We are still in the process of refining our crew, but we are a force to be reckoned with for sure!
Enough rambling, here’s the official press release:
Once again the standard of teams applying for the Oakley Jib-Vid jumped up a notch. With over 40 teams applying, and each one of an incredibly high standard, the Jib-Vid crew had a really tough time making the hard decisions on who would make it to the start list of 18 teams. After watching edits and reading through rider information over and over again, we came up with the team list below
In aphabetical order:

Opening Party Railjam Photoshoot and B&W theme
The Oakley Jib-Vid opening party at the White Lounge on Wednesday 17th March has just been made even bigger, with the addition of first ever night rail session at the top of the Ahorn featuring ten of the Jib-Vid riders. With some of the best riders performing for the attending photographers; it should be a great spectacle.
The legendary DJ Blakey of DJ Hero fame will be providing the beats for the amazing “black or white” themed Michael Jackson mash up night. So sort out your “black or white” party gear and get your tickets here before it’s too late.
Arena and Urban Knights Confirmed for Projection Party
After a fantastic and packed night last year, the projection party will once again be held in the Arena nightclub in the centre of Mayrhofen town. The 1,000 capacity venue is expected to be filled to the rafters once again for the premiere of all the teams’ films on the Friday night.
The party will be capped off by the Urban Knights with one of their spectacular DVJ sets, mixing rib crackling dirty beats layered over electro house, dub-step and breaks with live visual scratching. To find out more about the Urban Knights, check out www.urbanknights.com for more info, free mixes and video edits. Last year’s party was immense and this year’s is certain not to disappoint.
