Onboard 113 - On Sale Now!
Our last issue of the 2009/10 winter season is in stores now and rammed full of so much sickness you might have to book yourself a doctor’s appointment. Here’s what’ll get you ill…
Eero Niemelä Interview
This month’s main interview is none other than the Finnish export to So Cal, Eero Niemelä, who travelled west in the footsteps of the likes of Malmi and Mäkinen, Oksanen and Tikkanen to live the dream across the pond.
Cat Track Fever in Whistler
An all time crew of rippers including Torstein Horgmo, Danny Kass, Annie Boulanger, Marie-France Roy, Anne Flore Marxer and Eero Ettala find themselves in Pemberton’s powder paradise with a cat at their disposal and the sweetest lodge in BC to stay in. What more do you need for 10 days of shred?
Bib Boarding
We cast our wandering eye over some of this season’s early season contests, including the Air&Style, Roxy Chicken Jam, O’Neill Evolution, and the Burton European Open. Contest riding went through the roof this year, and you can see what we made of some of the earlier ones here.
Umeå – An Unlikely Snowboard Mecca
Onboard senior photographer Peter Lundstrom is the human-Google of Umeån Snowboarding, which is not surprising considering he is from this neck of Sweden. What is surprising though is that anyone would travel there to go snowboarding considering it is a flat as road kill and prone to temperamental weather conditions. What follows is Peter’s tale of why Umeå became an unlikely host to so many rippers.
Margot Rozies Profile
In addition to her dynamic, sensitive and honest qualities Margot Rozies is a real character. Growing up in Tarbes at the foot of the Pyrenees, she developed a genuine love for the mountains. From her main home in Seignosse on the coast of the SW France, she mixes up her winters with as much surfing as possible, while from her idyllic Swiss winter residence she contemplates what fresh tracks she’s yet to explore. We delve deep into France’s diminuative powerhouse.
Antarctica – The Final Frontier
Xavier De La Rue and Jeremy Jones are well know for their exploration of the limits of backcountry but in November 2009 they took their search for unridden steeps to new extremes, boarding a ship in Ushuaia, the southern most conurbation in the South America, bound for Antarctica. As you do…
PLUS a gallery of our senior’s shots, one-foot drop in tricks to impress your friends and much more. Get down the newsie and trade cash for bangers.

Hello,
Do you handle a title called Global Snowboarding Magazine? If so, please advise me of a 2010 institutional price. In addition, please send me your contact phone, fax and email address. Is there a particular person who handles subscriptions that I need to speak to?
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
John
Hola
Ignacio Guido
