O'Neill Evolution Ready to Rock Davos.
Kicking off today, January 4, till January 9, the O’Neill Evolution looks set to ring in 2010 in style.
This year they’ve dispensed with the solid hunk of gnarl that was the quarterpipe in favour of a halfpipe, while keeping the slopestyle. They’ve also opened up the pipe to the women to show what they’re made of, with girls like Kjersti Buaas, Sarka Pancochova and Cheryl Mass primed to throw down at the first major contest of 2010.
The men tackle both the slopestyle and the pipe, with duders like Marko Grilc, Iouri Podladtchikov and Peetu Piiroinen looking to fire some warning shots ahead of the Olympics and bag some all-important TTR points too.
Today’s opened up for training, with the women getting it on in the pipe tomorrow. Wednesday to Saturday see the men take over and Onboard will be there to let you know the haps, and there’ll be a live stream of the finals for you too. Check back tomorrow for updates…
