Orange AIM Series hits Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes is gearing up for some high-speed action with the imminent start of the 2006 Orange AIM Series British Indoor Boarder / Skiercross Championships on Saturday 19th August.
Following its exhilarating debut at the 2006 Winter Olympics, the high-speed Boardercross discipline makes its way to Milton Keynes SNO!zone next weekend. This hybrid of snowboarding and motocross will have the UK’s top freeskiers and snowboarders going head-to-head with hopes of winning a national title. Inspired by the action, spectators can also have a go, with over 100 free beginner lessons up for grabs.
A more relaxed Slopestyle Jam will follow with each rider having the opportunity to express individual style and technical trick combinations on SNO!zone’s selection of rails and boxes.
Local MK pro and 2006 British Boardercross Champion Laura Berry will be looking to add the indoor title to her already impressive collection. Also competing and looking to raise the bar in the Slopestyle Jam is 2006 Orange Air Time Champ, James Thorne.
The competition is based on open entry for all performance levels and competitors compete in age categories. To pre-register your spot to compete and to check out the course layout, go to: www.orangeaimseries.com.
