Casey and Joel started the lonely walk down Vermont’s route 7 in Burlington and were quickly swooped up for a quick ride to Rutland VT, home of Killington ski area and Pat Bridges. Just a random girl with not too much to say took them the quick hour down the road and they were back on there own. After a quick skate around town they approached a lady in the Grand Union parking lot to test their luck on getting their next ride.
JACKPOT…the lady (Barbara, 35 years old) was on her way to the Midwest doing a ride share deal off Craigslist. She had been hired to drive someone’s car to Minneapolis and she was more than stoked to have some company. Prior to hitting the road, she felt so bad for the boys and thought they seemed so damn hot and gross, she took them over to her folks’ house for a quick swim in the pool. Yes a cold drink and mid-day swim before they where off towards Albany.
They completed their first challenge of driving her car from Albany to Buffalo. Barbara was won over with Neefus and Joel’s charm and ended up buying dinner, paying for a campsite and sharing her whiskey and vodka. She was having so much fun with the boys that she camped with them in a campsite right outside of Dunkirk, NY on Lake Erie.
Day 2 started this morning with a quick dip in Lake Erie to cool off and get (somewhat) clean. Barbara is taking them once again for another couple hours towards Cleveland. The goal for the morning is to make it to the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. Thanks Barbara!
