Saas Fee is Summer ShReady

01:53PM Mon, 18th July 2011

[Skip to 2:30 in this vid and you can see some of the park obstacles being built that you can jazz off on.]

Saas Fee’s glacier opened its doors a couple weeks back, and by now things are in full swing on the Swiss spot.

The summer ski area opened on July 9 and the crew documented its preparation. The park has been freshened up fot 2011 with a new down rail, a down kink rail, a double kink rail, a pole jam, a bonk as well as 5 barrels setup like a pyramid. Of course, there’s a good kicker line as ever along with their pipe that are just begging to be sent off.

The pipe will be groomed to World Cup superpipe standards by the first of October for the teams to come to train earlier.

So while other summer spots are winding down, Saas Fee seem to be ramping up. Check more on www.saas-fee.ch
