Entries have been flooding in for the Garnier Fructis Pro challenge on 26th and 27th August, thanks to the biggest ever prize pool for a snowboarding event. The competition, which will take over the Perisher Blue terrain park later this month, is offering prize money of more than $100,000 over the 2-day contest.
The Garnier Fructis Pro Snowboard Challenge is set to be the hottest event of the Australian Snowboard Calendar, with top riders from around the world testing their skills on the Slope Style and Super Pipe to win their share of the purse. All riders will be judged on overall impression, including technicality and difficulty, and are set to impress the crowd with massive air and free-styling routines.
Already attracting some of the world’s highest-ranked boarders, one of the highlights for Aussies at the Garnier Fructis Pro Challenge will be to see 2006 US Olympic Silver medallist, Danny Kass unleashing his style and signature back to back 1080s on the mountain. Rumour has it Kass will also be hosting the premiere of his movie at the Garnier Fructis Party in Jindabyne.
