“Unleash The Lens” brought to you by The Snowboard Asylum, Salomon Snowboards, Bonfire Snowboard Clothing, Skullcandy and Whitelines snowboard magazine.
The UKs biggest touring snowboard film festival is back for its third year and we are at it again. Bringing you two of 2007s most anticipated snowboard films to a town, dry slope of indoor fridge near you.
The Snowboard Asylum and Lockdown have got together again to bring you the best of British. Ladies and gentlemen it’s time for “Terminal Ferocity”. The latest Lockdown Project gives you an insight into what Lockdown and the UK’s best riders were up to last winter. With riding captured in the best locations, from New Zealand to the Alps, the US and back again, a true homage to how great the UK snowboard scene is. A winter of bad snow didn’t deter the guys in creating one of the best UK films to date. Starring the likes of Jenny Jones, Tyler Chorlton, Gary Greenshields, Jonno Wood, James Carr, Dom Harrington, Adam Gendle, Tim Warwood and many many more.
We got onboard with Bonfire and Salomon Snowboards to bring you David Benedeks latest feature “In Short:” DB’s first full feature film since “91 Word”. Shot entirely on 16mm/ Super 16mm is a truly conceptual approach to a snowboard film. It contains 5 different short films, mixing formats, genres, personalities and directors. Blank Paper were in production for over 18 months, they are trying to ditch all the rules on how a snowboarding film has to look in order to create something truly original. Mixing documentary directors with music video editors this project is as diverse and refreshing as possible without losing the ambition to show top-level riding of well-known athletes. Plus the UK’s very own Jamie Nicholls makes a full appearance, can’t be bad!
So “Unleash The Lens” brings you two of this years hottest snowboard films, even more UK dates than ever before, enough pick and mix so we will have peel you of the walls at the end of the night. Plus we are also bringing along the DJs to get your head nodding and feet shuffling and a stunning snowboard photo exhibition by Sam Mellish.
When possible at slope venues we have hooked up a TSA, Salomon Snowboards and Bonfire rider demo, plus a hardware demo to try out The Snowboard Asylum and Salomon Snowboard kit.
And of course all the film events are still FREE !!!!
