2007: A Year in Photos – Peter Lundström.

Last year through the lens of our Swedish senior.

November 2007 - Went shooting with Eiki Helgason, Gus and Gun in Umeå. For the first time ever, we actually walked away from a jib that we realised, after hours of digging, was just too sketchy. Actually, sketchy means you might have a slight chance of coming out of it in one piece if you mess it up. Flying 16 metres to flat over a minefield of metal poles is just plain stupid.

December 2007 - Although Horgmo was stomping like crazy at the Air and Style (Air and Spin-To-Win) in December, what I will remember the most is the sledneck who fell after half a backflip only to land and get the snowmobile on his head. Gnarly.

October 2007 - My home-made tow-in machine is used for the third time. Nitro rider Tobbe Karlsson gets 3 tries in before breaking his collar bone. The shots will hopefully be seen next year in Onboard mag.

June 2006 - In June, Tom Copsey, Jukka Erätuli and Fredrik Evensen and I went on a dryslope tour. It rains like never before in England. My memory card gets soaked and I blame it on Jukka. Sorry Jukka. Most of the shots were recovered with some amazing software thingy. This is what a shot looks like with a screwed memory card.

July 2007 - Headed down to Malung, Sweden in July to meet up with the folks at RBK for the helmet Techfile. Their helmets are the dog’s bollocks.

April 2007 - Around the same time in April as I was lugging around pianos in Åre, Sweden for the Music Issue cover, Jacob Wilhelmsson, along with some Yanks, were hitting the Jon Olsson kicker. I got there just in time for sundown.

August 2007 - The light-suit for the last picture for the Yes-Box article is completed in August. To be seen in an upcoming issue of Onboard.

May 2007 - After a disastrous week in Åre, the weather cleared up in May, just as the MMP crew came to town. Anders Gotte Gothnell shaped up the kicker real nice and the sky turned pale orange.

September 2007 - Kalle Ohlson, Chris Sörman, Micke Lundmark, Gulli Gudmundson and Andreas Gidlund head down to Hintertux for a pre-season park sesh, only to get a few inches of fresh the first day on the mountain. I get a memorable speeding ticket thanks to my phoney priest-driving license.

February 2007 - Briefly back in Sweden in February and hooked up with Gus and Gun for a shoot. Don't try this at home.

January 2007 - In January I was hanging out in Japan with Kalle Ohlson, Jonte Edvardson and Anssi Manninen. Our guide, Teppei,thought the pillows we were trying to hit were too small, and took us to this masterpiece of snow formations. The drop from the tip was over 5 metres and it had balls on both sides.

March 2007 - March the second, I'm sitting up in the forest with some hot chocolate and Kexchoklad at the Arctic Challenge. Terje drops in and blasts a world record out of the quarterpipe. This time I could hear the MC all up to where I was sitting.
