2008: A Year in Photos by Peter Lundström.
A look back at last year through the lens and life of our Swedish snapper.
2008
After having done only one shoot together with Hans Ålund in the beginning of January, I got so incredibly bored I actually drove down to a place called Kläppen. Didn't really expect to get anything, but ended up having a really good time with Hampus Mosesson, Stefan Karlsson and Actionhorse PH. This is Stefan 5 in the morning in Östersund. Pretty wild style. Drove back home the next day and packed for a trip with Dragon down in the Pyrrenees.
Went down to Arlberg in the beginning of the month to shoot with the Factor Films crew. Got the timing pretty good although it felt kinda sketchy to cruise around deep pow pow with a bunch of amped scandi kids with very little avalanche-averness. Days before I arrived the Norwegian part of the crew had triggered a small slide… In the end of the trip, someone (that’s you Kareem) tricked us to go to the Penken Park. That sucked, so I flew home and packed for The Arctic Challenge.

Did a gnar tour of Norrland with, amongst others, Halldor Helgason.
Learned to appreciate Leberkäse this month. Also hung out with the Pirates in Montafon.
Flew home for 20 hours only to return to the valley next to Montafon for the Protest photoshoot.
After the Bataleon photoshoot in Åre, Anders Gotte Gothnell called and said he had built some stuff in the tiny hillock of Vännäs. I didn't really think it was gonna be any good. It ended up being the most enjoyable week shooting throughout the season. I should have quit my season there. And then someone sent Mel and I to the King Of The Hill comp in Riksgränsen. ‘Boy it sucked.
May
Took some time off to go check out Rage Against the Machine at the Hultsfred festival. Had some shots I had to get out of my head when I came back, so got some help from Gun to produce a series of shots called 'Circus Depression'. Arty party exhibition coming up next summer.
Apart from spending a lot of time building set-design for an upcoming project, this was the month where Gun got the cover of the product guide. He gave me a bottle of Mintuu and we celebrated. Might do the re-visiting of that corner to an annual thing.
August was a month I felt like this. I eventually found my way out.
Went down to check out the Star Wars world Xibit in the metropol of Övik., then did the first shoot of the season that you won't actually get to see until next season's mags.
Did a shoot for Liljanskolan, a school where you can study to become a snowboarder and a watchmaker at the same time. You might catch that shot somewhere else, or on their website. Also shot a truckload of vehicles for an ad agency, including some crazy foresting machines. Different but fun.
This was the month where I, as we say in Sweden, cut my hair and got a job. Also did a shoot with Kalle, Halldor and Anton.
Protest shoot in an epic Saas Fee and an Onboard/Nitro shoot in Umeå went down before Xmas.
