Blue Tomato Teamrider Herby Taler could defend his title and won again the slopestyle mens.

And another Blue Tomato Rider, successfully clambered on the podium. Mathias Weißenbacher got 3rd place in slopestyle rookies.

The madness of ISPO has come to an end for 2010 and while the fingering of all the new kit and broing down with the riders and industry types is a fun way to pass several days cooped up in a cavernous hall or 10, our livers and vocal chords could certainly do with a vacation.

Our tour of the sickest of next season’s product continues with a vengeance.

We’ve been continuing our tour of the booths here at the snowboard industry trade fair ISPO, and drop another photoblast of some of the highlights from yesterday’s walkabout.

This is the first sneak peek that we Euros have had of the kit we’ll be rocking next season, so let’s cut to the chase and see what the bobby is…

Sneak a peek at next winter’s gear

Onboard are on the ground at the snowboard industry trade show, ISPO, where all the brands in the sport are showcasing their product for the 2010-2011 winter season.

After we peppered big mountain legend Jeremy Jones with your questions (look out for his answers in the video at the end of this week), we ambled around checking stuff out. Here’s a bunch of snowboards, boots, bindings, accessories and outerwear that grabbed our eyes…

We all know the kids are the future. Without young stoked groms coming in to fill the ranks of us withered old farts snowboarding would quickly go the way of the hula hoop, and that would suck the big ‘un because let’s face it, hula hooping was lame-o and snowboarding most certainly ain’t.

When it comes to kids’ shred gear, there’s not a huge amount of choice for the consumer with many a rad dad or milf forced to dress their beloved spawn in pastel one-pieces from Rodeo or whatever. Gah. Several brands have been making great strides in this area over the last few years, though, and one of them is Swiss outerwear brand Zimtstern.

ISPO, the snowboard industry’s European winter trade jamboree, opens its doors in Munich this Sunday where we’ll be on the ground bringing you all the highlights of 2010/2011 kit, and their Boardsports Award jury just awarded Zimtstern’s Stars kids’ collection winner of the kids product category. This line is aimed at eight- to fourteen-year-old grommits andincludes three snowboard jackets and two pants for boys, and two jackets and a pant for girls. Complementing the outerwear is a range of accessories such as beanies, the New Era cap, pipe gloves, thermal base layers, a snowboard bag and a snowboard helmet (in cooperation with TSG), as well as street- wear clothing. The gear looks pretty dope and it’s technically good too, what with 10k waterproofness, vents and velcro closures abound, so your nippers will look the bomb and be comfortable to boot.

Zimtstern bigwig Thomas Mayer is pumped. “Wow, we are very happy to see our commitment to the stars of tomorrow become such a success even before the start of the trade show. From the very beginning we were aware of the fact that Zimtstern’s Stars Collection for the next generation of snowboarders had to be very well thought-out and designed to meet the specific demands of our target group. We take this prize as a reward for our efforts, and we are super inspired to continue to contribute to the future of snowboarding.”

Our flatland bro-zoners over at themustachio have been hoovering up 2010/11 gear like aardvarks on acid and they’ve just posted a peek at what Signal Snowboards have to offer next season.

Crazy, init. This season’s barely started and we’re already looking at shit that will be in stores fall 2010. Fear not, Onboard will shortly be at the Shops First Try boardtest and then ISPO when we’ll be photoblasting all the highlights for you to get the horn over. We’re calling blow-up boards, magnetic bindings and wingsuits as the major trends, but you’re gonna have to wait till February for confirmation of how ‘finger on the prostate’ we are.
