British snowboarder Aimee Fuller teaches you in this video by her sponsor Roxy how to do backflips. Which is a relief, because we wouldn’t take any of her advice on how to cut your hair.

QParks, who organise this fine event, had some filmers capture all the action, and we just had to put it on our site. Here’s a little more information on it:

The 10th anniversary edition of the O’Neill Pleasure Jam powered by Opel saw some massive park action! 60 male rider and 20 females took up the challenge and joined on the Dachstein to qualify for the finals. The best 8 girls and the best 18 guys made it to the finals where they will be competing against the invited riders.

Despite the rough winds, the mood was blazingly hot at the Dachstein glacier as the finalists impressed with sick tricks and massive airtime!

Last year’s champion Aimee Fuller confidently defended her title this year, and Eric Beauchemin from the US secured the first place at the men’s category, followed by Werner Stock and Jamie Nicholls.

We started watching thinking, “surely the world doesn’t need another pre-season GoPro edit?” but then Aimee sets about chucking double backies, inverted Cab 5s to backside rodeos, and silky smooth back 7s. We’ll hold our hands up and admit we were wrong: the world does need to see this edit – the girl’s got bangers for days. Nice work Fuller. See you on some podiums this winter…

This weekend is set to be an absolute blinder at SNO!zone Castleford. The second stop of The Big Bang Snowboard Show see’s us pitch up at CasVegas for a full day of everything that we all love about snowboarding.

We have the UK’s biggest free* hardware demo, seminars from the industries finest, free coaching sessions, special shop deals at the TSA and a host of extra special snowboard guests including Aimee Fuller, Guilli Gudmundsson and Ethan Morgan. They’ll all be hanging out all day long but that’s not all, Aimee will be taking the helm on The Roxy Shred Sessions and Gulli and Ethan will be on slope shredding, offering trick tips and no doubt biggin’ up the merits of TBT and Bataleon snowboards.

Lipstick Productions dropped their first all-girl, all-Euro shred flick last season, and now they’re back with a bang with their follow up, EUROTIC. Check the teaser.

Last season’s movie, 5 More Minutes, Please?!, was a decent first stab at dropping a girls’ Euro snowboard movie, but with their second film, dubbed EUROTIC, it looks like they’re gonna knock the ball out the park.

Most of Europe’s noteworthy ladyshreds are part of this project, and with the epic season Europe enjoyed plus trips to further flung places like Iceland and the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia the movie promises to be a good ‘un.

Last week, Henry Jackson, man-of-the-hour and ever-growing internet phenomenon, went to the Roxy Chick… uhm Snow Pro to film for another episode of Jackson’s Hole. What can we say: Good interviews, good tricks, good times.

And she did it again – turning anything she enters into gold, slopestyle queen Jamie Anderson from California bagged yet another title at the TTR 5 star Roxy Snow Pro in Saalbach Hinterglemm last Friday!

It was a tight one, though, and could have ended very differently if Cheryl Maas from the Netherlands had fully stomped her back 9s. Sadly for her despite trying her best in the finals she couldn’t quite land them and still took second place, while the massive grin of stoked rising star from UK Aimee Fuller scored third place with backside rodeos and cab 5 underflips in the Night Park, bumping her up into the top 5 off the current TTR ranking!

But it wasn’t only the moon- and floodlight night finals that elated the crowds, the semi finals held in a jam session style had some bangers in store too. You could witness 5s and 7s in all directions from almost all of the girls, some pretty steezy cab 5s from Sina Candrian and Aimee loosing her monopoly on rodeos with Isabel Derungssticking a nice one too.

This was mainly down to the fact that the course was shaped especially for the girls, with the jumps big enough to showcase their skills but not super-sized scary. Something the Roxy events have always been focused on since the beginning of their existence: this is for the girls!

And so instead of Xboxes and Playstations the chill out lounge was equipped with hot chocolate for free, the latest Roxy gear for everyone to check out and a whole wall of Essence cosmetics, plus corresponding make-up artists to apply them to the happy faces of spectators, riders – and media (as you can see in the party pics below).

The only downside of this event has to be that the after party couldn’t nearly compare to the legendary happenings of former Chicken Jam – but with the World Snowboard Championships starting a day later this probably shouldn’t be overrated. We’ll come back next year to see how this development will commence…
