Amplid and GoPro are launching a contest  where 20 up-and-coming shredders will fight it out for a spot on the team at the end of the season. There are now 5 days left to submit your footage to be considered for the 20 spots. There is only five more days remaining to visit amplid.com and submit your application to be a part of the Amplid Ambush Academy for the 2012/13 season. Amplid and GoPro are looking for 20 talented snowboarders who can prove that they have what it takes to become part of the Amplid team by competing in five riding/filming challenges throughout the coming winter season.

At the start of every month throughout the season, a member of Amplid’s International Cartel Team will set the 20 chosen shredders their challenge; there will be five in total ranging from creating and riding inventive jib set-ups to multi trick runs. In addition to awarding prizes to the winner of each challenge, at the end of the 2012/13 winter season, Amplid will offer the Academy members that have really impressed a place on the team.

Those applicants who make the cut and are accepted on to the Academy will receive a welcome pack with a GoPro Hero 2, the best way to capture that killer footage in crisp HD; a soft goods pack and a huge Proform discount on Amplid gear.

Amplid:::next level riding is excited to announce Dash Kamp as the newest addition to its International Cartel Team. Dash will join fellow team members Justin Norman and Freeride World Tour competitor John Rodosky. Co-founder of Amplid, Peter Bauer, who signed the 20 year old Boreal local said:

Dash’s plans for the coming season include a heavy contest schedule packed full of 5 and 6 star TTR events and filming his third full part with Montana based outfit Toy Soldiers Productions. This winter Dash will be riding Amplid’s future-proofed park and pipe weapon the HiDef. The smoke weight HiDef features Amplid’s Honeycomb and Pre-Preg HEXO2 construction. When asked about his new board sponsor Dash said: I feel super fortunate to be working with Peter and Amplid. Peter has so much time invested into snowboarding and really knows what it takes to make a great snowboard. I’m really excited to see what future RnD has in store for the board under my feet! For months the Amplid Research Cartel has been held-up in Amplid’s laboratories bashing buttons, throwing levers and busying itself with creating the ultimate website to showcase Amplid’s 2011/12 gear.
