Antti Autti Presents ANTIOUT – FULL MOVIE

Ok, ok. So from now on November 7 is officially Free Finnish Full Movie Day. And seeing as it’s FFFMD, here’s Antti Autti’s eagerly-awaited self-produced movie, ANTOUT. It is a banger.

Our buddy Antti Autti spent the whole of last season stepping away from the contest circus and getting right amongst the backcountry with his crew of friends. The result is ANTIOUT.

Antti’s made a name for himself by slaying the contests of the world – remember the X-Games win and that time in Munich when 30,000-odd people were screaming his name when he was head-to-head with Shaun White? – but last year he decided it was time to focus on a fresh challenge in snowboarding – namely backcountry and natural terrain riding. Turns out he’s got a knack for that too.

After ten years of traveling around the world in contest-circuit, Finnish snowboarding legend Antti Autti decided to do things in his own way – he wanted to hit the natural terrain. He spent a year searching for the best spots and the deepest powder. Documenting these explorations gave birth to ANTIOUT.

Starring: Joel Lahti, Hans Kestilä, Miikka Hast, Naku Piirainen and Antti Autti. Also featuring Enni Rukajärvi, Peetu Piiroinen, Saku Tiilikainen, Arto Saraniemi and Eero Niemelä.

ANTIOUT NZ/Chile Sneak Peek

Antti Autti dropped us a line to fire over this webisode from his time in NZ and Chile for his upcoming movie, ANTIOUT. Peepit.

Thinking filming was done at the end of last winter Antti and his filmer made the spur of the moment decision to head to the southern hemi this summer – to NZ and Chile. It turned out to be one of the best times they had shooting for ANTIOUT. Keeping it strictly natural was a challenge but, as Antti says, “it’s the direction I want to go with my riding.”

The man himself says, “the whole ANTIOUT movie will be released November 4th so there is gonna be pretty nice part from southern hemisphere in it. This is just a little taste.”

Antti Autti’s First teaser for ‘ANTIOUT’

Our homeboy Antti Autti has been filming all last season for his upcoming movie, ANTIOUT. And this is the teaser for it.

Antti was always a solid competitor, bagging golds at the X Games, Toyota Big Air, Vans Cups and, memorably, kicked Shaun White out at the Air&Style a few years back; remember the crowd? “Antti?” “Autti!”

But he’s more than a contest jock and changing sponsors a couple years back allowed him to shift his focus and get out of the bib boarding scene. ANTIOUT is the result: based of Antti’s travels with friends, the movie follows the Finn around as he scopes new locations to let rip.

The teaser’s looking good – faux 8mm, powder blasting and park stomping – and for those looking forward to the full movie set your calendars for “earliest October 31st but not later than November 2nd 2011.” Now that sounds like a our kind of deadline…

Check out Finnish wündershred Antti Autti and some buddies goofing around on a powder day in Japan.

Now then. If it was us getting the chance to enjoy a bluebird powder day in Japan you wouldn’t have us messing around. We’d be full-on into racking up our quota of powder turns for the season. Antti, however, has doubtless had more than his fair share already so him and his buds have a fun ol’ time of it, flapping around at McTwists off a small pillow while Antti himself decides a shirtless faceshot is in order.

Antti Autti Ripping Japanese Powder

Watch Finnish styler Antti Autti have barely legal fun, ripping Japan’s bottomless pow pow apart.

While we’ve all been stuck in bone-dry Europe, people with less office commitments have been lapping up another awesome powder-filled season in Japan. Seriously, how does Onboard Asian Snowboarding Magazine sound anyhow? We’ll be putting that to the powers that be…

Anyway, Finnish ripper Antti Autti is one who made the jump to the Land of the Tit-Deep Pow where he’s busy filming for his Antiout project that will drop as a free download this coming Fall. According to him, this is the first season where he’s truly shredding on his own terms and so we’re pumped to see what he comes up with for the movie. By the look of it he’s finally able to show the world he’s more than just a contest rider – he looks like he’s pretty damned comfortable in the deep stuff too, as you’ll see from these two recent clips. Damn, we’re jealous. Can we get on your board program, homie?
