With little to no relevance to our precious European snowboard scene, this event looks so much fun, we just had to post these videos!

The world’s longest running summer snowboard and skateboard event, the Bonfire Pipe to Pipe.

The event is free and open to the public, with purchase of a lift ticket for the snow event.

The gathering begins on the Palmer snowfield with a jam style snowboard competition in the NEW exclusive feature double mini-pipe with a spine in the middle Windells Camp will build for the event, complete with free BBQ, free prizes and a chance to ride with the best up and coming riders in the world. Pros compete for cash, Ams for prizes.

Past participants include Jed Anderson, Nick Dirks, Scott Stevens, Ted Borland, Chad Otterstrom, Leanne Pelosi, Desiree Melancon, Chris Grenier, Zac Marben, Hana Beaman, Scotty Arnold, Austin Hironaka and many more.

When the chairlift shuts down, the festivities move to Windells world-class skate facilities in Welches, Oregon. Skaters from throughout the Pacific Northwest will gather in the early evening to skate the cement park at Windells with a fervor and intensity that surpasses anything of its kind.

The Salomon and Bonfire Team Vacation is a worldwide resort and shop tour spanning North America, Europe and Asia. Riders are taking it back to the kind of snowboarding that started it all, riding the chairlift, hanging with friends, and meeting new people along the way.

The team riders been working hard – ender video parts, winning the team challenges, traveling the globe to get the shot and breaking themselves off. It’s time to do something different.

“Most of the team has spent the last several seasons killing themselves for different video projects or contests so it feels like a good time to spend a year riding resorts and having fun as a crew. Not to mention, we’re gonna make a web series and a tour video that is going to be pretty awesome,” says Bonfire and Salomon Team Manager Java Fernandez.

London-based Research Studios designed the artwork for the two tee shirts. They feature clever artwork screen printed on a white tee.

The Bonfire Hooters shirt features a startled owl. The Salomon tee features two Nice puppies. They retail for $19.99 and can be purchased from CCS online until the end of October or while supplies last.

Bonfire Snowboarding Company is putting the pipe back in Pipe to Pipe at the world’s longest running summer snowboard event July 10th at Windells Snowboard Camp on Mt. Hood.

Riders can expect a 150-foot long half pipe filled with a full mix of features and jibs for unlimited creativity created throughout the course, created specifically for the event by Windell’s dig staff, led by Head Digger Keaton Pearson.

This long-standing event is a chance for Ams to ride with the Pro’s including Bode Merrill, Jed Anderson, Desiree Melancon and the Bonfire and Salomon teams. The jam style format, sideline contests, prizes and free food make this an event you won’t want to miss.

Registration is free and starts the morning of the event at 9am. Space is limited and arriving early is encouraged.

The skate event will take place in the new concrete park at Windell’s and is sponsored by Creature, Independent Trucks and OJ wheels. Registration starts at 5pm at Windell’s skate park.

Bode Merrill is now riding for Bonfire Snowboarding. Coming off a Rider of the Year and Video Part of the Year nomination, Bode has proven to be amongst snowboarding’s most well-rounded and hardcore snowboarders.

Fresh off the injured list, Bode is rallying to put together another full part with Absinthe Films where he logged a mind-blowing closing part last season.

Bonfire team manager Java Fernandez says, “Bode’s a beast. He can ride anything and he does it in a way that is unique to him. That’s where I see him being a great match for Bonfire. He’s got his hands in all kinds of stuff over here and I’m looking forward to seeing his style woven into the brand.”
