Teaser for Pirates’ UNIQUE8

Finally! One of Europe’s finest, Pirate Movie Production, is back with their new 2012 snowboard film release, UNIQUE 8, and this is the first teaser.

This year, they cut down their roster of riders to eight people: Gigi Rüf, Marco Feichtner, Arthur Longo, Nicolas Müller, Kalle Ohlson, Teo Konttinen, Chris Sörman and Werni Stock. When we spoke to riders after last season, they all seemed to be pretty stoked on this clearer focus, and we think it shows in the teaser, too. PMP also switched from their beloved 16mm format to RED high definition digital cameras, but stayed true to their analog approach of titling.

“The UNIQUE 8 premiere tour will kick off in Innsbruck on September 14th and will gather snowboard enthusiasts worldwide to party and get hyped on the upcoming season.
UNIQUE 8 will be available on iTunes and DVD, which includes a 100-page art and photo book.”

Day in the Life with Chris Sörman

The Pirates stalked Swedish ripper Chris Sörman for a day in Flachauwinkl. Pow, frontflips and skating? His day certainly looks like a lot of fun. Beware, though, this has shots of Chris in small pants.

Chris and Kalle score a sweet powder day, spray some roosters and then finish up with a session on Flachauwinkl’s epic miniramp. All in all, not a bad day at all…

The story brings us back to Cooke City, Montana. After riding rails for some time it was not easy for Kalle Ohlson and Chris Sörman to get back the feeling of landing in powder. Also Gerome “Coin Coin” Mathieu took quite a beating before stomping his tricks while sessioning with Victor Teymurov who was on his first Pirate Trip.

The Pirates return with another season of their behind-the-scenes webisodes from their latest movie, Bottom Line, and kick off with this epic installment of the goodness that went down when Kalle Ohlson, Chris Sörman and Hans Ahlund spent 3 weeks slaying urban jibs in Sweden. This is really good.

Last year’s Pirates Log webisodes were real good. Judging by this first episode, this season’s installments will be off the hook! Peep what went down when Chris Sörman, Kalle Ohlson and Hans Ahlund spent 3 weeks hitting up the urban spots in and around Chris’s home town of Jönköping. Peep the chat and bangers. Do it.

Booze & Babes at Swedish Bottom Line Tour

Our friends Chris Sörman and Kalle Ohlson just finished their “Bottom Line” premiere tour in Sweden. They organized three stops in one week. Chris’ hometown Jonkoping was the first stop, followed by a premiere at one of the most famous Swedish clubs, “Cafe Opera” in Stockholm. Two days later they had their final stop in Orebro, where Kalle is originally from.

Apparently, Chris and Kalle’s plan with was to attract people beyond your everyday premiere attending crowd (read: babes). Their selection of clubs and locations was meant to bring the movie to the people. With help from Burn, Neff, Transition mag and Artec it was a success indeed. And according to the two lads, it was “waaay gooooood times!”

They sent us hundreds of shots of their parties, and we selected this nice collage of booze and babes for you…
