Remember the rather sexy Nike Chosen Sessions around this time last year in Montafon? Well, the Swoosh crew revisited that zone again last week but spun the park in a new and novel manner, crafting a banked slalom/slopestyle ultra mega hybrid Frankenpark. Christian Haller‘s combined time x trick score was highest and he duly bagged the win ahead of Stephan Maurer and Peetu Piiroinen. This is probably what snowboarding at the Olympics should really look like.

As promised, here’s highlights of yesterday’s action in the Breck stunt ditch. Scotty Lago qualified in the top spot, ahead of Shaun White, Greg Bretz and Louie Vito. We must say, though we understand they only wanted to show the top qualifiers’ runs, it’s criminal that Kazuhiro Kokubo‘s Cab-ins and slash reverts didn’t make the cut.

This has some legit riding in it, plus some 1980s Yo-Yo battle thing going on that we couldn’t quite work out. We’re not sure if any of these young bucks were even alive in the 80s but, you know, like whatever.

Suitcase, Grasser, Northwest or Euro; there are many ways to do a method and everyone adds their own flavor to it. Many riders would trade in the ability to flip and spin for a solid method because nothing is more stylish when done well.
