Though it was 25m to the sweet spot and required riders to clear a daunting gap the way the jump was shaped actually meant it was pretty safe to ride. Paz Schoenleitner, Max Weickl, the Lindmoser brothers and some locals took full advantage of Franz Lachner’s craftwork and fired off some bangers for the assembled media nodes. This is the result.

Attention emerging snowboard talents! On March 19th 2011 it is happening again: DC and QParks invite you to the 2nd DC Rookie Contest at the DC Snowpark Kitzbühel on the Hanglalm. After the big success in the last year all young guns until the age of 18 are called to take part in this slopestyle competition and to enjoy a relaxed day together with DC and Planet Sports pro riders. Besides a tasty barbecue and massive tunes by a live DJ, all winners can also expect fancy goodies of the event partners!

On March 19th 2011 the DC Snowpark Kitzbühel is ruled by all snowboard young guns from near and far during the second edition of the DC Rookie Contest. They have the unique possibility to demonstrate their skills in front of the eyes of some international pro riders.

Slopestyle Action Deluxe with Best Trick Contest

It all kicks off at 12pm when all shredders meet up at the lower end of the park in front of the DC tent. After a short contest briefing, the action will start. The rookie contest will be held in the usual slopestyle modus, where each rider has 3 runs and the best run counts. In the end there will also be a separate best trick contest!

Also this year DC and Planet Sports team riders will function as judges. They will take a close look at the Freestyle aspirants and support the rookies with helpful tips and tricks. The winners of the contest will be rewarded richly with fancy goodies from the sponsors.

Such action in the park also needs a suitable support program. Great beats by a live DJ in the chill area will bring the right atmosphere throughout the whole event. Furthermore the riders can get a full belly at the barbecue down the park while watching the others.

Get your shot at the Public Shooting

Again this year your jumps and tricks will be shot and recorded by a professional photographer and published at the website and the Facebook Fanpage of the DC Snowpark Kitzbühl.
