Our German buddie Elias had a full-on mindblower of a part in People’s Pretty Wise and the Rip Curl team movie. He stacked more hams than they could fit in the flicks, so here’s the shots that didn’t make the cut. Though they call these ‘b-roll’ shots, the kid still frickin’ SENDS it.

Yeah it’s winter proper right know but so what? Springtime shredding’s still funner than a bath full of boobies and this section from People’s new movie, Pretty Wise, pays homage to that fact. It will also make you want to get strapped in whatever the time of year – check it out!

Of all the free snowboard movies of 2012, Nitro Snowboards’ full length team flick, Hyped! was probably the one making us want to go snowboarding most. It is a great combination of stellar riding (by the likes of Eero Ettala, Austin Smith, Nils Arvidsson, Justin Bennee and more) and fun stuff on and off the hill that people can relate to. And this is what it’s all about, init? Or as we said earlier this year when the flick dropped:

In an effort to look like we’re working while we’re actually hitting the hill, stuffing our gullets and drinking brandy, we’ve taken the liberty to look at whose full parts had the most hype about them on our site this year. Only parts that were released in the period between Jan 1 2012 and right now were considered, and we narrowed it down by looking at whose had the most views on the Onboard site. Elias’ eye popper from the Rip Curl movie, Alive&Kickin’ didn’t just blow our minds, it looks like it blew yours too as it was the 7th most popular full part of 2012.

We knew Elias was a damn good snowboarder, but we didn’t know he was this good! Seriously, it looks like he’s primed to follow in the footsteps of Gigi, Müller and Blauvelt with this natural terrain freestyle assault of a part. We also liked the gloves-off front 7 with his mitts whirling around like nun-chucks – fittingly, too: Elhardt’s a proper ninja.

Hyped! is the feeling we all get when we strap into our snowboards

The Stubai Zoo crew and their small army of GoPro cameras have hacked together the highlights of Friday’s action at the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere. Contains park ripping, jib jamming and frontflips holding mics and shit.

The park opening on the Hintertux glacier rang in the season in style a week or so back, now you can relive the highlights both on and off the hill in this sweet edit. 

The Hotzone.tv Park Opening went down from 5 to 7 October on the Hintertux Glacier in Austria. Once more Europe’s earliest park opening boasted good weather, world class snowboarding and a unique party schedule. The excellent park conditions and the many international snowboarders make the annual event one of the most important dates in the snowboard season.

People Films went through a massive change compared to last winter. Gone are the days of JP Walker and his buddies. But this new crop doesn’t seem to be too bad, either!
