ASK THE RIDER – LIVE FACEBOOK INTERVIEW TODAY – WIN A 2012 SNOWBOARD!

Thursday June 16th between 6 and 7 Eastern Time (that’s midnight Berlin time or 11pm London time), we’ll be sitting down with Bjorn Leines, LNP, Will Lavigne, MFR, and Rusty Ockenden, streaming live video through a Facebook link where you’ll be able to ask the riders anything and get answers in real time.

All you need to do is leave a comment on the link which will be viewable at www.facebook.com/romesnowboards and we’ll do our best to keep up.

In addition we’ll be giving away a 2012 Rome snowboard to a random question asker! What snowboard you ask?!, well, we’ll let you guys decide what board in a Facebook poll we’ll have earlier in the day. Bjorn, how was your season? MFR, where did you ride this year? Rusty, why do you think the Canucks lost?*

All you have to do, is tune into our Facebook page at the following times, and ask away for a chance to win a 2012 Rome Snowboard.

And to help them, all you have to do is LIKE your favourite artwork from the ‘Give A Trunk’ photo album. There could even be something in it for yourself – the three most creative comments on Facebook will win a pair of Rhythm “Checked2Peace” trunk.

The Rhythm “Give A Trunk” auction is a Charity Auction for the RHYTHM Broken Bird Foundation, where a 100% of the Auction proceeds will be donated to the good work of Didi Weichselberger in Mayrhofen, Austria, who nurses damaged and injured birds of prey within the region of Tyrol.

The winning Artist/Trunk will be included in the Rhythm Europe Summer 2012 Collection. 1% of the net sales of this product will be donated to the Rhythm Broken Bird Foundation, another 1% will rewarded to the artist.

To celebrate the launch of their new Facebook fanpage, the Snowpark Fiss Ladis came up with an original photo competition.

But instead of taking a picture, your expertise in judging is wanted here. Just like their page and go through the photo album “What’s your favorite Brunotti Action Shot?” and like your favourite shots! There will be five new pictures each week and the one with the most likes on Sunday midnight wins and everyone who liked it, will be entered to the pool of entries from which the winner will be picked. After announcing the name on the page, all the lucky one has to do is contact editors@qparks.com to get a Brunotti goodie.

So head over there, click through the pics, vote and keep your fingers crossed to win the goodie!

This Friday, from 4-6 pm Eastern, you’ll be able to ask the Rome SDS team whatever you’d like, and they’ll get back to you live on video.

The team is in town visiting the Rome office, so we thought we’d set up a camera for a couple hours and let snowboarders all over the word fire questions their way. On hand we’ll have Eiki Helgason, Bjorn Leines, Lucas Debari, Laurent “LNP” Paquin, Will Lavigne, Johnny Lazz, MFR, and Johnnie Paxson, and they’ll all be drifting in and out of the camera answering your questions.

There will be a few ways to check out and participate in the interview:

1. Visit our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/romesnowboards and “like” it. There we’ll have an embedded video in our update stream where all you have to do is “comment” your questions, and the team will answer.
2. Watch on the Shred Remains Blog http://www.romesnowboards.com/theshredremains/. We’ll also be streaming the interview through the Blog. You won’t really be able to ask questions through the Blog, but at least you’ll be able to see the team answer other people’s questions.
3. Check out our UStream feed at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ask-the-rider. If you’re logged in, you’ll be able to ask questions right in the video window.
If all this seems confusing you can either re-read the info above, or email in at ridercouncil@romesnowboards.com and we should be able to walk you through it. Also, feel free to email in some questions ahead of time and we’ll be able to hand them off to the riders to answer during the interview.

As a bonus, the crew will be giving away some stuff throughout the 2-hour interview. So tune in during class, during work, or wherever you’re at and fire some questions over during the designated time.

Your feet are itching just like ours? Waiting for winter and the upcoming shred season? To pass time we came up with the idea of a Facebook photo raffle.
