When you’re riding a lot, it’s easy for days, and sometimes seasons, to just sort of blur together so the clever dudes at Rome came up with the 100 Day Tracker. With this free iPhone app you can record where you rode, how the snow was, the crew you rode with, any good lines you found, or whether you got broken off that day and even save a photo-of-the-day and a video-of-the-day.

Of course you’ll always keep the memories of a truly amazing snowboard day, but why not give them a bit more depth and details…?

The second event on the 19th of December 2009 was a huge success! The next Kids Snowboard Day is coming up soon on the 13th of March, and once again, it’s FREE for all kids!
At the Horsefeathers Superpark Planai, the Blue Tomato Teamriders will teach the kids some helpful tips and tricks, there will be free beginners lessons and rental equipment, as well as “learn to ride” test material by Burton, before we finish the day off with a goodie-bag giveaway at the Blue Tomato Shop in Schladming.

The Austrian snow-, skateboard and streetwear Brand LOVE is very proud to release their first team movie. Download it now for free!

The film was done in cooperation with Blue Tomato and it is for sure one of the most different and entertaining snow and skate movies in 2009!
Love snow team riders Marc Swoboda (Blue Tomato team rider), Matevz Pristavec, Seppi Scholler, Thomas Feurstein, Dominik Wagner (also on the Blue Tomato team) and Flo Mausser were busy shooting the whole last year.

From big powder shots at the Arlberg or in Switzerland, massive park jumps in Slovenia, Sweden or the Superpark to the “rainbow jib session”. This movie is a good mix of powder, park and jibs! Also the skaters Xico Basabe, Allessandro Massotti and Thomas Vevjar spent days and nights filming and you will see that it was worth it.

Besides this, the riders show that some of them also got other “hidden talents” and the whole crew guaranties that this is for sure the most entertaining and flashiest movie in 2009…

As an early Christmas-gift for all snowboard-fans, the Horsefeatheres Superpark Planai opens its gates on the 19th of December 2009. Its “big brother”, the Atomic Superpark Dachstein, will be open at least until the 13th December. This will be a seamless transition to the upcoming winter season and once again, the Schladming-Dachstein region provides 10 months of freestyle!

In the course of the summer 09, QParks has heavily worked on the earth-terrain-forms and now the Horsefeathers Superpark Planai lights up in a completely new shine: The complete park-area was extended, a new 3 laned medium and pro kicker-line has been installed and the whole beginner and intermediate section has been expanded with new rails and boxes. Bernd Mandlberger and his crew will prepare as many obstacles as possible for the big opening on Dec 19th. Because of the warm temperature there is unfortunately too less snow at the moment for building up a decent set-up. Against the forecast Bernd and his team have decided to set up at least the beginners line. Needless to say, they are waiting impatiently for the first “real” snow.

At the opening there will be free coaching with snowboard pro-riders such as Max Weickl who placed 3rd at the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam, be sure he can give you some helpful tips and tricks. Another highlight will be the public Photo – and Film-shooting at which all riders get the opportunity for having professional pictures taken of oneself at various obstacles. The final material can be downloaded on www.horsefeatherssuperpark.com And to be sure you won’t get bored if taking some timeout between your runs, our speaker and the tuning beats of LIVE DJ tdk will keep you entertained. To regain energy, at 2 pm the riders-special can be collected at the Weitmoosalm. There will also be some Goodies-for-Trix sessions at various obstacles at which everyone can win awesome prizes from our partners and sponsors.

Around the park-area the 2nd Blue Tomato Kids Snowboard Day will take place, where the younger audience will become the focus. Juniors will be taught the basics of snowboarding by professionals. The Blue Tomato Kids Snowboard Day 2009 will take place on December 19th 2009 at the Planai and is of course FREE for all kids!

The kids are getting pro-tips from our Blue Tomato teamriders, who are going to support the kids with heart and soul. So if you are already bored from the normal downhill shredding and you need a new challenge, you should come by and try out the rails and boxes the funpark has to offer. But certainly we are not forgetting the beginners among yourselves. At the Blue Tomato snowboard school Planai the kids will get beginner`s courses for free, so that next time they will be able to hit the park. With a video session and the dispersal of goodie bags in the Blue Tomato Shop Schladming the Kids Snowboard Day will have its finish.

So the story goes… Bad luck… Yap that’s d 2 words I can describe past few months. So many visas, traveling costs for nothing, broken snowboard and broken elbow and second surgery. Simply as that I’m officially broke. And then my friend said to me Blue Tomato is the answer.. Yeah maybe if i have the money…but no they are giving some stuff for free!! You guys are the bright light in the and of the tunnel… I am not good in witting this days with one healthy hand so my pics and video can describe what was i doing till yesterday… Hopefully I don’t need to do those things anymore… So my grandpa always says THEY been watching ussss…. So I hacked satellite and here you go the little story….

Stoked – The New Snowboard Videogame

Stoked finally brings realistic gaming to our XBoxes!

Stoked is the name of the newest invention in snowboard game. Using a wholly new approach the developers at Bongfish present to us a game which we have been craving for. Stoked is the first Open World World snowboard game and at the same time a game which puts the realistic mode onto your Xbox. The open world mode gives you the opportunity to explore 5 snowboarding worlds on your own and hit the mountains wherever you want. For support you will be able to use a helicopter which can drop you off at exactly the peak or mountain face you would like to hit next. But there is still way to go! The weather in Stoked is dynamic which puts your favourite mountains into different conditions. And finally once it starts snowing the snow stays, just as in the real world and you will be able to catch some thick pillow runs and great powder turns! No wishes stay unanswered in Stoked – daylight changes, snowstorms it is a 100% realistic game!

But the developers continued the realistic touch also in the rest of the game – it begins with real riders through real snowboard gear and ends at real board models. The Pros available in the game belong to the big names we know from contests and videos – riders like Travis Rice, Nicolas Mueller, Wolle Nyvelt, Annie Boulanger, Romain de Marchi, Tadashi Fuse, Gigi Ruef, and Bjorn Leines will definitely increase your fun gaming. Lukas, Ursi, Lisi, Alex, Simone and me, hit the road to Zürich last Thursday about 1 pm in the afternoon. Due to some problems with the entertainment system (the radio) our first stop was a local electronic dealer. Hooked up with a new radio we arrived at our Hotel about 11 pm without any bigger occurences. Friday was the day for building up our booth, checking out Zürich, shopping and the opening of the freestyle.ch. The Zimtstern inventory-clearance sale was perfect for the shopping part of the day. But you should know one thing if you visit Zürich these days, never rely on a navigation system cause there are roadworks everywhere. And if I say that I mean really EVERYWHERE. 6pm doors opened at the freestyle.ch.

At our booth you could get Blue Tomato catalogues, gingerbread hearts, stickers and Clast headbands. Additional we had a photo-wall of our Lederhosen Boardshort. Big props to Renato and all the other Clast guys for the support!

We rotated with working so that everyone could have a look at some action going on and checking out all the other booths. Don’t have to mention how high the riding level was at the contest, sure you already checked out some of the videos which are online everywhere on the internet. In the evening Lisi and Simone visited the Zimtstern party, but the rest of us were too exhausted and preferred to catch up some sleep. On Saturday the doors opened from 11am till 11pm.

After doors were closed we headed towards the After Burner Party with premiere of the new Pirates flick “Jolly Roger”. Film was sick, party was fun, just have a look at the pics! Unfortunately we had to work the next day but we made it and spread the last catalogues, ginger bread hearts and Clast headbands to the masses so that we could enjoy the superfinals.

Around 10pm our booth found its way back to the van and we could leave the Landiwiese towards Schladming. The trip was some kind of weird due to some, let’s call it “burger-escape” and technical difficulties at the refuel station. Nevertheless we arrived Schladming at 4am. Totally done but also stoked about the great weekend.
