Jonas is a rad Swedish gent who’s been shredding for 22 years and who has, for the last 3 winters, basically been living the dream of doing nothing but riding powder all season. Check this introduction to who he is and where his roots are. Interesting.

Protest takes you on a journey “From here to there” with 3 of their professional snowboarders. Following them on their journey from their personal here to get there, whether it’s a search for the ultimate pow, the perfect tree run, winning contests under pressure or creating footage in imperfect conditions.

Jonas Hagstrom grew up with his ‘own’ back yard ski resort, run by his parents. Here’s where he started snowboarding 22 years ago in a time where there were no images or videos to watch and see how it was done. There was one thing he did know, he loved it! Nowadays he travels the world in search for the ultimate pow and runs his own music school in his hometown. Follow Jonas on his mission, there’s more to come…..

Yes, these are super lo-fi and, yes, they are quite long, but we still find ourselves hypntically drawn in to Miikka and Jonas’s splitboard hikings and pow ripping. In these latest three, they ride volcanoes, have another ‘best run of the season’, and score retarded amounts of pow.

Buoyed by the success of his online movie ANTIOUT last season, Antti Autti is once more slipping his arm around foxy mamma internet and giving the come-hither eyes with the start of his new web series. Dubbed Relate To It, the M.O. is for him to rip as much pow with his mates and churn out as much banging freestyle footy as possible in an episode every couple of weeks.

This first installment has him in early season mode scoring the goods in Canada with Miikka Hast and Jonas Hagström, and follows up with more pow pow goodtimes getting it done in Switzerland with Joel Lahti.

Jonas Hagström and Miikka Hast are back for another season of POV GoPro webisodes, chronicling their season-long mission to do nothing other than ride as much pow as possible. It’s low-fi, but damn we want some face shots right now.

This is the antithesis of, say, The Art of Flight, but that’s what’s great about snowboarding. Watching Jonas Hagström and Miikka Hast‘s raw POV edits of riding powder line after powder line is way more real than some flawless Cineflex superhuman stunts, much more attainable, and arguably more fun. One thing’s for sure. We want these guys’ jobs.

While everyone else is still bitching at the lack of snow in Europe, Jonas and Miikka get their hike on and find the goods. March 7 is all about splitboarding – 1 day, 2 runs, 100% awesome. March 14? That’s their last day in Europe before they have to head to Canada. Bummer. Yeah, right!

There’s something just real about these lo-fi clips. Keep em coming from Canada, boys!
