Could there be a better ending for the winter season than hanging out with all your friends having a sick session, BBQ and a DJ for the perfect sound? That’s exactly what happened on April 16th and 17th at Oberjoch in Germany, where the fourth Head Jib Factory by Alex Tank & Arnette went down. 20 invited riders from all over the world came to the Allgäu to ride the brand new setup which was the biggest one the Jib Factory has seen so far.

As always, the goal was to get creative and to have as much fun as possible. To make that even easier, a new accommodation was chosen, all riders stayed in a typical Bavarian hut right next to the setup. So everybody could start and finish his session whenever he wanted and ride home on his snowboard. Some heavy tricks have been thrown down; naming them all would take way too much time, so you better check out the official Jib Factory edit.

On both days the riders played the “Game of Out” on the Arnette granite ledge. As we knew from previous years, this takes some time because almost every rider was able to do every trick – hence it was decided to turn it into a team competition. Every team had two riders and could decide by themselves who had to do the trick.

At the end only team Innsbruck (Raffael Kossmann and Tobi Hartmuth) and Team Mustachio (Eirik Nesse and Kas Lemmens) were left. After playing for more than two hours they decided for a tie and split the prize money of 500 €. Kas Lemmens was the most outstanding rider for sure, not only that he always was the first rider hitting the setup and the last one to leave, he also landed pretty much everything he tried. So it was no surprise that he was voted Best Rider Overall and cashed out 1000€ on top of the team event.

The decision for Best Trick was way harder because Eirik and Kas stomped some really hard tricks. At the end Kas Lemmens BS 270 Hardway to Fakie at the stair set got the most votes. Boom, another 500 € for Kas.

To finish things off, the Atagge Highest Ollie contest took place. Everybody could join this session, no matter if filmer, shaper, DJ… At the end the host Alex Tank himself took home the wander trophy with a winning height of 95 centimeters. We had two awesome days at Oberjoch, thanks to all people involved.

The latest homage to the awesomeness of spring shredding comes from the Postland Theory dudes, who drop this cut from their trip to Laax a couple weeks back shooting for Periscoping/having fun for the hell of it. 

Spring Sessions is the way to end your season in Europe. We went there with Kas Lemmens and Wessel Van Lierop and tried to film some laps over the slushy moguls, perfect days. 
Only bad thing was that Wessel broke his collarbone on his first attempt for a shot, typical end of season.

We’re coming to our ender of indoor video’s for this season but before we show you the ender we need to fix your attention on young Kas Lemmens. He’s been in front of the camera for 2 years now and only claimed opener or ender while only being able to film for one week.

Postland Theory’s latest movie, Catscratch, is a full on bangfest featuring the Flatlands’ finest urban assassins, and this is Kas Lemmens’ heavy ender from it. So sick.

Postland bossman Tim Schiphorst is clearly impressed with both Kas’s skills on a stunt stick and his formidable work ethic. Here’s how he sums up the boy Lemmens:

In just two years of filming Kas has claimed an opener and ender part. He is stuck at school every day so for both movies he only had one week to film. He always tries to make the most of it though and goes for more than his best in every session. 

Just to indicate Kas’ dedication: The first day of filming last winter was in Stockholm, we had to spend the night there to wait for our ferry to Helsinki and since we didn’t want to pay for a hotel we decided to setup a spot for the night. Kas went for a fruntblunt to regular on that quadkink. After 6 hours of trying he finally landed a frontboard, between the binders but that wasn’t enough for him. 2 hours later he did it again the exact same way: just a frontboard. After 9 hours we had to pull the plug because we would have missed our boat if we continued. 

He kept this up every day for a week, and I never heard him complain once. That infectious smile of his never left his face.

Our flatlanded friends at Postland have just dropped their second movie. Knowing that cats and the internet go together like vodka and the energy drink of your choice, they’ve wisely dubbed their film Catscratch. It’s full of legit shredding, so go check it now. Nice job, Tim Schiphorst!

Catscratch is our second movie since the dawn of the theory, presented by Shaped Snowboarding and Monster Energy. 

Cats are hip right now but bigger brother the Lynx fucked up the main trip of our season, hence the title and the reason we leave this trend behind us right now. Bas Elhorst, Cees Wille, Gerben Verweij, Irian van Helfteren, Joey van Essen, Kas Lemmens, Kevin de Haan, Luc Büthker and Wessel van Lierop still menaged to pull off great snowboarding and laughter in our remaining winter. 

We couldn’t do it without: Arbor, Bataleon, Forum, Signal, Taste and theMustachio.

Cees Wille, Kas Lemmens, and Wessel van Lierop ran into Halldor Helgasson and Tor Lundstrom who were practising some big moves on the Kicker.

Looking beyond our trusted glacier in France, we decided this year to check out other places to shred in summer Euroland. With Cees Wille, Kas Lemmens and Wessel van Lierop we hit the road past a few major glaciers, first stop: Dachstein. Here we ran into Marc Swoboda and Schepps Ischepp.
