Our friends from go-shred.com will host this fun event on Saturday, 27th of April.

Our friends from go-shred.com, snowboarding’s raddest car-pooling website, sent us this about their upcoming “GAME of go-shred.com” on the Kaunertal Glacier. It all goes down on Saturday, 27th of April, and even though the flyer doesn’t look like it, it will be good clean fun for everyone! Here are some more details:

If you’re selected through the famous game of rock, paper, scissors you have to perform a trick first. All other participants have to repeat the trick. If you can’t stomp the trick you’ll get a letter of the word “shred”. The person to be the last without the full word “shred” will win. The entire snowpark will be our playground.

Important: Everyone offering a ride to Kaunertal on our website by Thursday, 25th of April, will enter a prize draw to win 2 x 2 day passes for the Kaunertal Glacier!

Registration starts at 10.30am at the go-shred tent next to the park lift.

Prize-giving and after party including a freestyle battle at 9pm in the Piffalm!

Till December the snowpark at the Kaunertal Glacier, Tirol will be open and there are several innovations for this season you can be excited about.

In the previous season-flow Mother Holle has taken a bit of time. But during the last days it was
working out and a lot of new snow has come down. Till December the snowpark at the Kaunertal
Glacier, Tirol will be open and there are several innovations for this season you can be excited
about.

Motivated to go shredding? Then better have a visit at the Snowpark Kaunertal! The snowpark is placed at
the same location like in the last spring season. During the past days the whole glacier was being covered
with fresh snow. The depth of snow is more than one meter. Right now there are perfect conditions for the
Schneestern shapers who have timbered a sweet park setup. So finally two medium kickers, one pro
kicker coupled with various rails, boxes and the new jib tank invite all riders to test and measure the
obstacles this weekend.

And that´s not all! The triple-headed shape crew will put up with it and build the second pro kicker and
further obstacles in the coming days. Brand-new in this season – free WiFi all over the snowpark. Not bad
- post your snapped photos on Facebook and watch the newest clips directly in the park area!
From now on all skiing lifts are open for people who want to ride the slopes.

Yes, we are also confused how the clip from the Kaunertal Opening weekend is already their third video of the season. Anyhow, good stuff from Western Austria.

A bombastic kick-off to the new season is guaranteed at the 27th Kaunertal Opening.

From October 12th – 14th thousands of shredders will take over the small village Feichten in Kaunertal/Austria for the 27th time and welcome the new winter season 2012/13 with a big bang.

When the days are getting shorter and the mountaintops are covered in snow the anticipation for the upcoming winter is becoming extremely high. As is the case in the Snowpark Kaunertal, where the preparations for an awesome start are already in heavy progress.

The program on the mountain holds something for everyone – on Friday it’s the jibbers turn to show their skills at the rail session presented by downdays.eu on the rail directly at the glacier restaurant. The next day a prize money of USD 7.000,– is waiting for those who rule the pro contest …let’s see if Roy Kittler is in for a “triple” after winning the freeski contest in 2010 and 2011. On Sunday more excitement is guaranteed when the shredders fight for the top positions in the amateur contest, which is open for all motivated riders.

Good news for all those, who don’t care much for a contest – there will be a separate contest park so the main park will be open for everyone during all 3 days and has a whole bunch of different obstacles for all riding levels to offer. Amongst others there will be 2 medium kickers that can be combined with diverse rails and boxes in one run. In the long jib line obstacles like downpipes, one straight rail, one kinked rail, one straight box and many other fun options can be used in various ways.

Numerous freeski and snowboard companies will bring their latest products to the testival at the KTO and give everyone a chance to test boards, skis, poles, protection and much more on all 3 days for free. So for everyone who is not sure yet what to buy will definitely be after the KTO. So you’d better take the chance to find your perfect winter.

The action continues in the evenings with the newest movies from the freeski and snowboards scene and great live bands! On Friday night you can expect hand-made guitar music by Golden Reef, dirty electro-house from Austrian

AG Trio as well as sophisticated mixes from DJ Dan (Texta).

Riding inspiration for the next day will come from the ladies from Lipstick Productions and the guys from Junkies on a Budget.

Saturday night promises not less noise and party when Yambalaya enter the stage and no other than Mono & Nikitaman take over with their raggae songs and ragga-dancehall beats. It’s the Wax Wreckaz privilege to close the night with their unique mixes of raggae, hip hop and electro. Movie-wise Legs of Steel and the Pirate Movie Productions will show their newest flick of their travels from last season.

All 3 Days:

09:00 – 16:00 Back from summer riding and Open Park Session

09:00 – 16:00 Testcenter & Sideevents on the glacier car park

09:00 – 16:00 DJ Badspin spinning the wheel on the glacier car park

We always ramble about end of season and summer has arrived and whatnot, but judging from the current weather, snow conditions and press releases we are in for an endless winter. You don’t believe me? Well, you either just look out your window or read on about what’s going on up on the Kaunertal Glacier…

Powder. I told you.

On the weekend of May 8 and 9 HOTZONE.TV team manager Lars Oesterle and the up-and-coming riders Georg Huber, Tini Gruber and Thomas Tramnitz set out for the Kaunertal Glacier to check out the snowpark, which was all set for the Spring Classics.

One would expect sunshine and summer camp feeling on a May weekend up on the Kaunertal Glacier. But instead, the riders awaited snowfall and changing weather conditions. Lars Oesterle and the rookie team riders were even more amazed when the Kaunertal Glacier welcomed them with fresh powder on Saturday morning. In the afternoon, some motivated snowboarders fought flat light, snowfall, and the urge to get some more powder sprays in and had a lot of fun in the park, taking advantage of the free coaching sessions with the HOTZONE.TV snowboard pro team riders on the easy-line kickers and jib-line.

Thomas Tramnitz tail-bonking it awy.

The next morning, the sight of a freshly shaped snowpark made everyone look forward to a great riding day. Not only the pipe was shining majestically in the sunlight. Together with some snowboarders who had travelled to the glacier from all directions, the HOTZONE.TV snowboard pro team riders had a great session on the kickers and showed their best 3´s, 7´s and 9´s. The afternoon was all about shredding the rails. Motivated coaching students made their first boardslides and backside lipslides on the rails and boxes, while the snowfall was getting heavier. At the Kaunertal Glacier, the winter is not over, yet! At least this is what the HOTZONE.TV team riders agreed on when they went back home on Sunday night!

After Hintertux action we packed our stuff and headed for the second stop of Snowbroader Spring Trip, Fendels ski areas, more exactly the Kaunertal Glacier, where Spring Classics just got good started! And this is already for the seventh time! Schneestern crew, who made park again, proved that they know how to make magic out of metal and snow. Welcome to the Spring Classics 2010 on Kaunertal…

Just one hour driving from Innsbruck you can catch a sight of the glaciated peak of Weißseespitze, the symbol of the Tyrolean Kaunertal Valley! Whilst in April most of the winter resorts are closing down due to lack of snow, the Kaunertal Glacier is just about to present itself in perfect conditions to all snowboarders with Spring Classics entertainment.

Here you will find the park and happening that you are looking for! The park is daily taken care of by the Schneestern crew, so that everything is shaped into perfection. The lines are set perfectly, with just enough time between objects. The park is build in a way that all levels of riding can get satisfaction: beginner, medium and pro line gives you more pleasure that you can handle.

The perfectly shaped park throughout the Spring Classics is offering monster kicker, pro-kickerline, easy-kickerline, superpipe and mini shred, which is not as mini as they are saying (want to see how the set up looks like??? Click HERE). We could claim that the set-up on Kaunertal is one of the biggest Snowpark in Austria. So hitting this park is a perfect way of concluding the winter season before jumping into board shorts.

We all know that snowboarder’s dreams are shreding perfectly shaped park with no need for waiting to hit an obstacle. I’ll give you a tip how to live this dreams. Spring Classics 2010 on Kaunertal!!!
