Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down is the latest cinematic adventure and highly anticipated edition of the groundbreaking film series by Relentless Energy Drink.

Featuring James Lavelle and UNKLE, as well as legendary freeriders Jeremy Jones and Xavier de Le Rue (star of the first film), Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down explores a theme that anyone driven by some immeasurable passion will recognise – that there are no easy rides in life.

Relentless travel to Antarctica with their two riders, spurning the usual ‘heli-drop and ride’, big mountain approach in search of more visceral rewards, the kind that Jeremy and Xavier seek by scaling each near-vertical face on foot. Interwoven with this, Relentless join UNKLE on tour in Tokyo, Moscow, St. Petersburg and London, immersing themselves along the way in the uncompromising sounds and beliefs of a pioneering musical outfit that has strived to push the boundaries of artistic expression while retaining total integrity for close to 20 years.

As you’ll doubtless know, Xavier De Le Rue and Jeremy Jones hopped on a boat and sailed to shred Antarctica last year (as you do) to film for Relentless Energy’s upcoming release, Lives of the Artists 2. The film’s scheduled to be released this September where you can gawp at the footage from this, listen to James Lavelle’s original soundtrack and get pumped on the other stuff they’ll be cramming in.

Here’s some facts about the Antarctica trip…

· From Ushuaia Port in Argentina, it took a 62 hour open ocean crossing, on the ship Ice Axe, via Drakes Passage, to get to the Arctic Penisular

· One of the tallest peaks was Mount Francois – at 9600 ft

· There was a 6 hour window for riding faces – too early and they were sheer ice; too late and it refreezes in seconds.

· The average drop for peaks was 3000+ feet.

· The reached peaks via splitboard, hiking & helicopter

· The crew spent 7 days filming in Antarctica
