A flightbooking fail leaves Mark McMorris with no other option than to drive to Mammoth for a spring session. Some randomness ensues, including the aforementioned cougar on a boat, before he rocks up in Mammoth to session a double line with Danny Davis and Mikkel Bang. Look out for Bang’s front 3. Last spring the big B built big booters in Mammoth, and Charles Reid, Mikkel Bang, Mark McMorris, Terje Haakonsen, Danny Davis, Seppe Smits, and Kazu Kokubo sessioned them. Some highlights made it into the film Standing Sideways, and the entire footage made it into this edit, including some mad, mad stunts from the Burton crew!

So we got a little impatient waiting for snow in Washington so decided to road trip down to Mammoth Mountain for opening day. On our way down we thought it would be fun to take a pit stop and ride Boreal for a few days to get some early season shots, while working out all the kinks before Mammoth opening day.

Shout out to SixEleven Productions for getting ‘Ride With Us’ off the ground and running strong last season. Mike Peterson, the main man and filmer behind SixEleven, went back to school and couldn’t shoot season 2. Look for the SixEleven crew to make appearances in RWU episodes this season.

Us folk on the old continent might not know too much about American Sage Kotsenburg other than he’s the kid who stomped the double cork 1440 at Innsbruck’s Air&Style, but it seems in the US he’s kind of a big deal. Well, a big enough deal for Mammoth to build him a couple of Wu-Tangers and invite a crew of his friends to throw down for this slick edit.

There’s no denying this boy’s got mad skills but, sadly, all he got to show for trying triple corks is a pant full of poop.

As they drop in on Mammoth’s terrain park the crew of Finns – Ville Paumola, Ville Uotila, Aleksi Kumpulainen and Markus Malin - find the big line closed but have themselves a blast on the medium and jib lines regardless before taking it to the backcountry where they find a good spot for a solid kicker session. Next up they take it back to the park at Bear Mountain and to wrap it all up, the boys get some Californian dreaming going on in San Diego. Surf’s up, bitches…
