These days, Austrian snowboarder Marc Swoboda is all over the place. Now he took part in this Nitro/Blue Tomato thing. All information are below, but what you’re really here for is the video, right?

An unforgettable day with Marc Swoboda at the Kitzsteinhorn

Last saturday, December 3rd 2011, the winners of the „Ride with me“ raffle had the unique chance to spend one whole day on the Kitzsteinhorn together with Nitro and Blue Tomato pros. And it sure was an unforgettable day for all the participants!

The whole day, the attendees had the opportunity to get professional coaching by the snowboard pros Marc Swoboda, Dominik Wagner, Lukas Szendröi, Tom Hörhager and Anna Gasser and where also provided with a free lift ticket, a voucher for a lunch with the pros, the latest Nitro test snowboards and a sick Nitro and Blue Tomato goodie bag.

Snowboard pro Dominik Wagner was motivated from the start and absolutely amazed by the event idea: „The idea of the event is just great – back when I started snowboarding, it would have been awesome to get the chance to go shredding together with a pro like Marc Swoboda!“

After the riders and pros gathered at the valley station in the morning, the group hopped into the gondolas and attacked the recently opened Easy Park. No signs of a snowless winter opening could have been spotted at the Kitzsteinhorn as, besides the freshly shaped park, the gigantic Superpipe with an unbelievable lenght of 160 meters and a height of 6.3m especially amazed all riders.

The twins Markus and Sebastian definitely didn’t regret their 6,5h arrival:

„We came directly from Leipzig to spend the day with Marc at the Kitzsteinhorn. We’d heard a lot about the Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn already and the opportunity to test the setup with some real pros is just great and was definitely worth the long drive.“

Exclusively for the winners of the „Ride with me“ raffle, there was also a Nitro test tent at the Easy Park, where a professional team provided the latest Nitro snowboards and all the information about the products. „It was really cool to test the latest Nitro snowboards and also to get first-hand tips from real pros.“ (Angie, one of the winners).

The lunch break in the Alpincenter offered sufficient time to fill up the tummy with tasty food and also to get to know each other better, before Marc called out for the open session together as the afternoon delight.

Marc Swoboda: „Besides the actual sunshine, that nobody expected anymore that day, the atmosphere within the variegated group was just amazing and I sincerely hope that we can do such an event again soon!“
