The Swedish badboys send it both ways at the 2013 Spring Battle before hooking up with Mario ‘Suicide Shot’ Käppeli and Ethan Morgan for a mix of backcountry tomahawks and pow stomps. 

In the third episode of BYNDxMDLS, Kevin and Tor head to Flachauwinkl Austria, for the 2013 Spring Battle. While there, they meet up with Mario Käppeli and Ethan Morgan, who show them the ropes in the Austrian backcountry.

Colour Wear is proud to announce that Mario Käppeli has joined the CLWR family. He joins a crew of passionate and creative snowboarders such as Kareem El Rafie, Leo Crawford and Risto Ruokola.

Mario hails from Switzerland and has been living for over a year in the snowboard Mecca of Innsbruck. Aged just 24 and riding for over 12 years and the last few under the wing of the Forum International Team, Mario has travelled a lot, ridden some of the sickest parks and terrain on the planet, and is now ready to take on the next chapter of his career.
Over the last few years, Mario would more often be seen stomping booters in bulletproof snow parks, however his eyes have now been opened to taking these skills into the backcountry, a move which has also seen him join the ranks of backcountry freestyle expert Gig Rüf’s team at Slash Snowboards.

We are stoked to have such a talented backcountry freestyle snowboarder in the CLWR Family and look forward to seeing the footage and shots Mario brings from some of the most stunning locations around the world.

Mario took some heavy beatings last season. Luckily, his stompers outweighed his slams and he was able to put together this season edit. Yeah dude!

Scotty Stevens is your man for absurd flat tricks on a snowboard. Here he goes again. We call this a switch boneless to front lip 270 off, but we’re not sure, either.

We’re not sure what goes on in the brains of these two jokers, but their new web show ethanVSmario is pretty entertaining. We took the gif from their first video, but the second (which we linked to) even contains some actual snowboarding.

According to our photo ed Jussi Oksanen is the most stylish snowboarder that ever lived. We find it hard to disagree with this sentiment after watching him put down this fine front double with such effortlessness. We could look at this all day.

The two have a website – ethanvsmario.com – where it looks like they’re planning to make each other look as stupid as possible along with, occasionally, showcasing their undeniable skills on a stunt stick. Their first video, while it made us chuckle, contained zero snowboarding hence we skipped posting it, but this new edit if full of shredding. And piss.

ETHAN MORGAN INTERVIEW

We’ve known this half-German, half-American ripper since he was a goofy kid with heaps of potential. Now he’s a goofy man who’s come of age with a full part in the new Standard movie, 2112, and who’s been turning heads across the planet thanks to his deep bag of tricks and wildstyle. The boy rips, so we went in to get his story.

Cover boy Nils has been on the radar for years. The Swede was the first rider we saw have a pop at a triple cork, but as you’ll know if you’ve checked out any of his movie parts there’s way more to his riding than hucking and hoping. With parts in no fewer than four movies this year, it was time Onboard shed light on this slick Swede.

The Schneestern shape crew finished building up all obstacles on Thursday. With beautiful weather, pros like Mario Käppeli, Flo Corzelius or Gabor Abonyi already had their first warm-up runs and tons of fun.
