This winter, Markus Keller is tripping the globe shooting for a new project focussed on his riding, his winter and his homies. Check the teaser, and get the lowdown from the man himself.

Interestingly we’d just finished chatting about ChaMäleon with Mä for his interview in our upcoming print mag when this teaser dropped, so we thought what the hell, we’ll just give you a taster of what you can expect from the horse’s mouth. The plan is to release 6-7 ‘making of’ webisodes every couple of weeks this season leading up to a full, action loaded movie that’ll drop next autumn and then the following winter drop more behind the scenes TV show style edits too…

“I’ve got our crew which is Vernon, Pirmin [Juffinger] and Clemens [Prankl] following me all around, so of course the main focus is on me, but I’m always going to team up with my teammates – be it Nitro or Volcom or Red Bull riders it’s just like guys I like to ride with. In general the main idea, the main part of the concept, is to show all different aspects of snowboarding. We named it ChaMäleon: The Colors of Snowboarding. It should mean as a chameleon adapts to his surroundings, I want to show that I’m able to adapt to the different disciplines that are in snowboarding.”

Keep your eyes peeled for the making of episodes dropping soon. This has the potential to be BOSS.

Of all the free snowboard movies of 2012, Nitro Snowboards’ full length team flick, Hyped! was probably the one making us want to go snowboarding most. It is a great combination of stellar riding (by the likes of Eero Ettala, Austin Smith, Nils Arvidsson, Justin Bennee and more) and fun stuff on and off the hill that people can relate to. And this is what it’s all about, init? Or as we said earlier this year when the flick dropped:

The Austrian resort’s epic superpipe will be open for business of usual from December 15, so they’ve dropped the pipe edit from Nitro’s Hyped! to show how awesome it is. With Markus Keller and Jan Scherrer sending it, awesome it indeed is. Here are the deets…

Kitzsteinhorn superpipe opens December 15, 2012!

Early gift-giving at Kitzsteinhorn: the super-pipe season at Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn will kick off right before Christmas! The Kitzsteinhorn snowpark crew is working flat out to complete Austria’s largest pipe monster as soon as possible. Pipe master Alli Zehetner is responsible for the erection of the superpipe, which requires more than 25,000 m³ of snow. The 160-metre long half-pipe with its 6.30-metre high walls will be open daily between 9 am and 3 pm from December 15, 2012. The Easy Park will open on the same day.

Nitro Snowboards’ full length team flick, Hyped!, is now live and direct. Check the likes of Eero Ettala, Austin Smith, Nils Arvidsson, Justin Bennee and more bossing it and getting hyped.

Apart from a crew of amazing snowboarders and a good handful of filmers, the Onboard Send Off Sessions at Kitzsteinhorn were also a perfect opportunity for photographers to hone their skills at park shoots. Some of the best shots can be admired in our current print issue, but our ed-in-chief/photographer Danny Burrows opened his archive and picked some of his favourite shots for an online gallery. A private season end session has long been high on the Onboard Crew’s wish list and yet the lack of an appropriate partner had until now kept it as just that, a wish. Then out of a smoking lamp came Kitzsteinhorn and their genie Stefan Plattner and with the wave of a long handled shaping spade The Onboard & Kitzsteinhorn Send Off Sessions were born.
