Nokia have been keeping busy in the last couple of months. As part of their collaboration with Burton and sponsorship of the Burton Global Open Series, the Nokia team were out at the Burton European Open in Laax putting on a series of parties featuring The Nextmen, DJ Yoda and legendary English DJ Norman Jay MBE. Yes, MBE – Norman is such a legend the queen honoured him for ‘services to DJing’ back in 2002.

This dude’s been wowing planet shred the last few seasons with his knack of making gnarly lines look like your regular funpark (check Jake Blauvelt’s full online part for the definition of natural terrain mastery) and while this admittedly isn’t quite as arousing we must say we’re backing the man’s top 10 tunes. Sadly we were unable to track down one of Jake’s tunes, The Boxer by the Chemical Brothers featuring Tim Burgess, so we dug out another Chemical Brothers x Charlatans song instead.

Anyone who’s seen this guy ride will confirm his beasty credentials. Big cliffs, big pillows, big booters… if it’s whopper and has pow on it, Debari will be there sending it.

Sadly Pink Floyd‘s original version of Time was unavailable, so we picked up on the Easy Stars All-Stars‘ dub version for no other reason than their album title, Dub Side of the Moon, amused us. There’s a good chance it’ll piss you off. Ah well…

Check out what the boy with the Isenseven ender digs piping into his brain box in this week’s Mixtape. Yep, it’s our Germerican homie Ethan Morgan, and his tastes are gangsta.

For this Monday’s Mixtape we thought long and hard about who to hit up. We were lucky enough to go make party at the Isenseven premiere last Friday and even luckier not to get one third as drunk as our buddy Ethan Morgan. He had reason to celebrate, mind – he’d just bagged the ender in Isenseven’s new movie, Kaleidoscope, with a hella strong all-round banging part. This will make people sit up and take notice, like us who, for reasons of a fist-of-nuff-respect nature, have awarded him the chance to share his top 10 tunes with y’all.

Kalle Ohlson, the Swedish Artec shred who you’ll know from a succession of solid parts in the Pirates movies, has just dropped us over his Mixtape. Warning: Contains Swedish House Mafia…

Kalle’s down with his tunes. In fact, when the Pirates quizzed him on the importance of music he replied “Very important. If you have good music you barely need a good part! Cause then people might play the part just so they can listen to the song!” He’s just being humble, though. If you have seen any of his parts you’ll know they’re always solid, mixing in backcountry booters with downtown jibs and the kind of multi-kinked death ledges that would give you a coronary just by looking at them.

It’s Monday so once again we’ve been hitting up the riders to find out what makes up their Mixtape. This week you get to listen in to UK scamp Jamie Nicholls’ top 10 tunes. In two words, this is Well Urban.

What is it? Jamie Nicholls’ day at Onboard? The boy from Bradford’s like Nicolas Müller or Eero Ettala in terms of our online coverage but, much as it pains us to say it, he’s frickin’ killing it and deserves everything he gets – just don’t tell him we said that. So, following on from this morning’s interview Terry Kidwell did with him, allow Jamie’s currently top 10 most-played songs on his iTunes give you some audio excitement.

There’s a lot of Hip-Hop and Urban sounds in this Mixtape – in fact when we say ‘there’s a lot’ we mean ‘It’s pretty much all…’ – but to be honest it’s a refreshing change to not have a rider drop electro-bleeping (Ok, so there is one…), metro-pop or metal to listen in to.
