Despite the best attentions of our team of highly trained simians working all the hours god sends to make sure everything is present and correct, we have noticed an error has slipped through and made it in the hallowed pages of our 2011 Product Guide. Nike 6.0‘s tasty-looking Bellevue jacket was wrongly presented as the ‘Vernon’, and wrongly priced at €340 – the true SRP of the Bellevue is €250.

Apologies, and rest safe in the knowledge that those responsible for the mistake have been shot.

A few days ago Halldor Helgason, Jamie Nicholls, Jan Scherrer and Silje Norendal went on a little secret mission. The team visited three indoor domes in two countries in three days. The visits were announced only through Facebook and Helgasons.com. Lots of kids showed up and the 6.0 team had an amazing time. Apparently there are more guerilla marketing things planned. Better keep your eyes peeled…

As you will have seen by now Nike has rolled out a big-ass action sports campaign called “The Chosen,” which also happens to be crew video competition. When you go to the campaign website you’ll find that while their skate, surf and bmx offerings are quite popular but somehow the snowboarding is falling behind a bit. Come on and sort this out, fellow shredders! Maybe this short video on the Nike 6.0 session at Windells will help a little, too!

Just a day after the HCSC people posted their session 1 recap the other big US snowboard summer camp, Windells, just fired over their wrapup video of session number 2. Their camp saw equally rad shredding, helped by the presence of the US part of the Nike 6.0 team and other pro shreds: Sage Kotsenburg, Matt Ladley, Mason Aguirre, Jake Black, Niko Cioffi, Benji Farrow, Nial Romanek and God knows who else.

Not much else we can garner from this, except that all their riders might in fact be vampires which would go a long way to explaining their unnatural skills.

Halfpipe snowboarding is rad. There’s no other kind of snowboarding when can you go from gunning it to weightless to gunning it again in such a short space of time. Sadly 9 times out of 10 we only get to peep the guys at the top of their game when their bibbed up and trying to hyperspin onto the podium at contest, but this small, low budget little thing that Nike put on looks set to give us a faceful of awesome contest-free pipe riding from the likes of Peetu Piiroinen, Louie Vito and Mason Aguirre. At 4am. With a lightshow.

June 2nd is when what they’re calling ‘The Chosen‘ will air in full, so tune in then to see the full shebang.

Ever since they spawned from the all-conquering sports company Nike, Nike 6.0 have been making great progress in the snowboarding world. Their pro team is full of top riders such as Halldor Helgason, Mikkel Bang and Peetu Piiroinen to name but a few, and this motley crew of shredders can only be seen as a testament to the company’s demands for high quality. With some cool new products lined up, the 2011/2012 season is looking like a good one for the guys at Nike 6.0.

The Nike 6.0 women’s Bellevue jacket is a key style in the 2011/2012 product range. It comes with a super stylish Nordic printed gilet on top and weighs in at 10k for both waterproofness and breathability keeping you warm and dry too. It also has a snow skirt to keep you comfortable when shredding the pow and comes in a fluro pink too for the more flamboyant ladies.

The 2011/2012 men’s Proost jacket is very similar to the popular 2010/2011 model but has a different work-wear style colour scheme. With a warm goose-down filled insulated inner this jacket is perfect for those cold winter days and the 10k and waterproofness and breathability make sure that when you are warm, you stay warm.

Nike 6.0 also have a new boot out for the coming season. The Vapen, which means ‘weapon’, is a classic Nike styled boot with aesthetics that back to the Jordan Air. Thanks to the relaxed structure it has a nice flex and is great for jibbing or for someone just after a comfortable boot. It also rocks NASA space technology (as all good boots should) which apparently helps moderate the temperature of the boot, making sure your feet are warm and that the cold air stays out.
