*** CONTEST RUNS NOVEMBER 26 2012 – MARCH 1 2013 ***

This year, Dragon are letting you run wild with their brand new model, the NFX. Based on the ‘frameless’ technology of the APX, this offers up a cylindrical lens that’s easy as hell to interchange the less on and gives you epic peripheral vision with a comfy fit and a unique look. Luke Mitrani was feeling it, as he says: “The NFX felt really good on the mountain and the way you can change out lenses so quickly is perfect for me when I am riding and the conditions change.” Download the Illustrator or PDF files according to your preference and go wild.

Once you’ve got your goggle design dialed, email your entries to thecrew@onboardmag.com. Please include your name in the file name. If your submission is over a couple of megabytes please create a .pdf preview and send that. Make sure you include your full name and contact details in the mail you attach your design to, and title your entry Dragon Design Contest 2012/13.

When the contest closes, entries will be judged by Onboard and Dragon and whichever design stokes us out most will be notified as the winner and will receive 10 pairs of their self-designed goggles once they have been produced for the 2014 line.

To reiterate, DEADLINE IS MARCH 1 2013. We’ll gladly accept your submissions from now on in, though, and will be posting some of the better submissions throughout the winter.

After a long old wait, we’ve finally received confirmation of the winning entry to our 2011/12 Onboard/Dragon Design Comp. 

We know this took forever to announce, and apologies for that, but after debating massively over the deluge of entries we received for our last Onboard/Dragon Design Comp, the Dragon dudes have just informed us of whose submission they selected as the winner. Congratulations, Andrea Raemy!

Andrea’s design will now enter the production schedule for 2013-14 and she should receive a flesh-and-blood version of her creation next year. Thanks to all who submitted entries, it’s always a pleasure to sift through them all.
