QParks, who organise this fine event, had some filmers capture all the action, and we just had to put it on our site. Here’s a little more information on it:

The 10th anniversary edition of the O’Neill Pleasure Jam powered by Opel saw some massive park action! 60 male rider and 20 females took up the challenge and joined on the Dachstein to qualify for the finals. The best 8 girls and the best 18 guys made it to the finals where they will be competing against the invited riders.

Despite the rough winds, the mood was blazingly hot at the Dachstein glacier as the finalists impressed with sick tricks and massive airtime!

Last year’s champion Aimee Fuller confidently defended her title this year, and Eric Beauchemin from the US secured the first place at the men’s category, followed by Werner Stock and Jamie Nicholls.

The organisers took the much-appreciated step of making the riders have at least one ‘style’ run in their three allotted slopestyle sideslides, the result being riders could poke that shit out old school style before turning the spinometer up to 11. Aimee Fuller took the top spot for girls showing she’ll be a serious contender on the contest circuit this winter, while Seppe Smits bagged the men’s crown with a predictably stomptastic display.

DRAMA and GLORY! Under brazenly perfect weather conditions, the international freestyle community celebrated the ninth edition of the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein one of the best ones ever! At an unprecedented level, the snowboard elite was battling for the victory of this Swatch TTR 4 star contest in the perfectly shaped park. After a two day trick fireworks, the Belgian Seppe Smits and Aimee Fuller from Great Britain were smiling down from the top of the podium as winners of the Super Finals. The only 19-year old Matthias Weissenberger caused a sensation in reaching the third rank!

There might or might not be an official video of the 2010 Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam. We figured over here that this short edit by Elias Elhardt and friends is way more fun anyhow.

Check Elias, Philipp Strauss, Marco Smolla, André Kuhlmann, Markus Keller and Werni Stock shred the slopes, hit the park and Elias eventually take home the victory!

Ruka, Finland is going to see yet another Oakley Girlsessions. The event takes place from 8 to 11 April 2010. It is famous for attracting female riders of all levels from Finland as well as riders from all over Europe to hit the perfectly shaped Ruka BatteryPark. Girls have a chance to compete in various formats, including a 3 star swatch TTR contest, a team contest, and an individual slope style and pipe competition. No matter if you are pro or rookie, as long as you are female April should be all about heading North and killing it in Finland! By the way: Last year’s winner Enni Rukajärvi has since taken the pro contest scene by storm, winning pretty much every contest she was competing in: Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam, Roxy Chicken Jam, Burton European Open and the Burton Canadian Open!

Your car broke down, your rent is due, and you are rocking the gear from the year before last? Well, being a 3-Star TTR event, the 2010 Oakley Girlsessions offers a total of 2500$ prize money, and a total of around 10.000$ in other prizes for all riders participating. Then there’s a lot of side events, including bowling, theme parties and – to quote from the press release – “the possibility to see the mystic forests of Northern Finland, where the reindeer roam freely!” If nothing else this should get you going, no?

On Saturday, starting from 4pm, Electric will rock the Blue Tomato Shop! Meet Electric team riders and check out the latest Electric goggles. Additionally we got drinks, snacks and music by DJ TDK for you.

The Pickings also bother about your entertainment, so they planed a whole party weekend for you! Starting on Friday with the Opening Party at the Friends Bar in Schladming at 6pm.

On Saturday the Pickings Fam Stollen Party at the Hofbauernstollen in Rohrmoos is the place to be. You will get to see the new Pirates flick Jolly Roger and Die Vammumtn and MOZ live on stage! Plus Drunken Masters, DJ Blah and Roy Green. Party starts at 7.30pm, entrance fee is 5 €.
