Seeing things from Mu’s point of view is really rather arousing. This is full of some epic snow surfing, and that needle threading through the trees? Wallop!

We dig this. A lot. Shot in one week, this POV edit has Stevie M ripping spines, lines, buttering pow and just generally sending it. When he gives one feature a bollocking we cackled, and the spill he has at the end shows just how steep some of the terrain actually is. Oof.

Shredding pow in August? It’s always snowing somewhere – in this case Argentina. Andrew Burns is one lucky mother.

On August 10th 2012, Contour gave Andrew Burns (SGT Argentina Head Coach) a Contour camera and asked him to film a mellow in-bounds lap at Cerro Catedral. Burnsy, like all the coaches at SGT, knows the mountain as well as the legs on the hot girl in french class, he immediately went to one of his many secret stashes and pointed his fancy new Capita board towards the SGT lodge and arrived at the editing suite with this gem.

Warning: if you are queasy or uncomfortable watching snow being slaughtered in northern hemi summertime DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO.

Put yourself in the mind of John Jackson as he charges his way down the Supernatural course. This made us hoot, and it also made us slightly dizzy.

John’s first two runs are full-on hell for leather stormers, and although he has a bit of a nightmare on the course’s upper section in his final run he still manages to stomp a back 10 double cork to win the best trick award. If you ever wondered what it would look like pulling such a trick, well, watch the third run and you’ll know. In short: confusing.

Jonas Hagström and Miikka Hast are back for another season of POV GoPro webisodes, chronicling their season-long mission to do nothing other than ride as much pow as possible. It’s low-fi, but damn we want some face shots right now.

This is the antithesis of, say, The Art of Flight, but that’s what’s great about snowboarding. Watching Jonas Hagström and Miikka Hast‘s raw POV edits of riding powder line after powder line is way more real than some flawless Cineflex superhuman stunts, much more attainable, and arguably more fun. One thing’s for sure. We want these guys’ jobs.

Check the first two edits below. Warning: You may quit your day job after watching these…

See Mu’s Point of View. We like the poetry of that. We also like the view. Yeah Maurer!

Burton rider Stephan Maurer is back with another Snow Porn edit. Last year he blew minds with his all-Fish edit (check it out in our wrap up of last season’s online videoparts of the year) and now he drops an all POV cut of his exploits last winter. Damn, that made us want to ride some pow…

Yes, every rider out there seems to be making GoPro edits these days. They all suck. Tim Humphreys is the master of the art. Bow down.

Remember Flow spinner Tim Humphreys’ first GoPro POV edit? Click through on that if you ain’t seen it, as in the murky riverbed of mediocre rider-filmed POV cuts this was an 18k nugget of pure gold. Now he’s back with another and, despite the slightly odd ending, it’s a banger.

If fact it’s pretty much a full-length part filmed only by himself as he shredded his way around the globe last winter. “It finally happened,” a pumped Timmy said. “The first video I filmed in a day, this one took me a whole season.”

So sit back, relax and enjoy a barrage of POV front 9s, cab 7s, gap-front boards, hip hitters, front 3s and the like from one rider who really gets how to use that GoPro Hero thing. As Vader would say: “Impressive.”

Shot on location at Dew Tour, X Games, Alaska, Idaho, Tahoe and Hintertux.

Song: Deadmau5 – Ghosts N Stuff Ft. Rob Swire

We had the fear just watching this. All them sharks fins waiting to buck ya, face shots leaving you blind and sketchy drops into the abyss… we’ll stick to the minishred and open powder fields. James & co… you’re welcome to that stuff.
