Flat spins, cork spins, double cork spins, and even Seppe’s crazy spin-rewind thing all look good during these spring park sessions from last season.

The B have bro’d down with the N to produce a new app for Nokia phones running Windows 8 that allows you to shoot and morph sequences of your homies, get up-to-date resort forecasts and comes complete with pre-loaded shred playlists. The PR title of ‘Seqs, Runs and Rock & Roll’ was quite inspired too.

If you have the Nokia Lumia 620, 820 or 920 and you nab this free app you’ll be able film a line, hit a button and it’ll stitch together the sequence as a photo which you can then share to Facebook and Twiter – the quality of which we’ll let you know just as soon as Nokia poney up and give us one to play with. They claim the results are “exactly like you see in snowboarding magazines,” but we’re dubious – not least because we print at 300dpi and our Photo Ed may seriously consider ending it all if true.

The forecast function allows you to check snow levels, weather conditions and which runs are open at over 2600 resorts across the globe, and once you’re strapped in you can access the pre-loaded playlists to amp your ass while on the stunt.

We don’t get to hear too much about it this side of the pond, but the Dew Tour is kind of a big deal. Currently a slew of the planet’s best bib boarders are ensconced in Breckenridge where they’re throwing down the madness that passes for competitive snowboarding these days in slope style, pipe and big air. Hey, the prize money or TV coverage must be good as Shaun’s even competing.

Anyway, men’s Slopestyle Semis went down a couple days ago and the riding was white hot. Torstein Horgmo qualified first by crushing the whole shebang with his über tech hangdog style ahead of dudes like Max Parrot, Chas Guldemond, Roope Tonteri, Mark McMorris and Sven Thorgren to name a few. Yesterday was women’s Slopestyle semis, where Jamie Anderson scooped the highest score, and men’s pipe semis, which saw Scotty Lago qualify ahead of a certain S. White. Interesting. Also interesting was Kazu’s second run, in which mid-way through he pulled a slash to revert and then still managed to boost himself way overhead on the next hit. One of the raddest things we’ve seen at a pipe comp in recent years.

South Lake Tahoe’s Jamie Anderson’s strong first run put her in the top spot going into tomorrow’s final from women’s slopestyle. Anderson threw down solid tricks in her first run such as a switch back 540, a back 180 and Cab 540 gave her a first run score of a 94.25. Anderson’s first run score of a 94.24 was the highest score out of all the riders for the day. Trailing close behind Jamie Anderson was Germany’s Silvia Mittermueller with a 93.00, and Enni Rukajärvi in third with a 92.00.

Though we have to say Mark McMorris’ ‘dubs’ look  more like good old fashioned corked frontside spins to us, there’s a whole bunch of eye-popping double dipping in this edit from Burton, from dudes like Shaun White, Jussi Oksanen, John Jackson, Mikey Rencz and more. More corks than a winery…

The park opening on the Hintertux glacier rang in the season in style a week or so back, now you can relive the highlights both on and off the hill in this sweet edit. 

The Hotzone.tv Park Opening went down from 5 to 7 October on the Hintertux Glacier in Austria. Once more Europe’s earliest park opening boasted good weather, world class snowboarding and a unique party schedule. The excellent park conditions and the many international snowboarders make the annual event one of the most important dates in the snowboard season.
