Check out everyone’s favourite Canadian cowboy-stanced crusher bossing it from the park to the streets to the backcountry. Seb Toutant‘s full part is a bit tasty…

Toots has made a name for himself on the contest circuit, where his patented brand of atheletic multi-corking has seen him net a bunch of major wins and establish himself as one of the most progressive park riders in the game today. But, as you’ll see from this video, his skills aren’t just limited to sending it in a bib – in this full part he shows he can boss it on the streets and in the BC just as hard as he chucks himself over über wedges. Heavy.

Taking interactive video marketing to the next level for the snow industry, this new and graphically unique campaign showcases the mind-blowing riding skills of Toots, as well as the multiple features that make The Bend his favorite Philips | O'Neill headphones to wear.

This is pretty neat. Click yourself through Seb Toots’ park run and decide what tricks he should lay down. If you held the suspicion that this kid was somehow a remote-controlled video game character consider it officially confirmed.

Philips and O’Neill are stepping up their successful headphones collaboration by announcing the imminent launch of Tested on Animals: The Seb Toots Edition – a new interactive YouTube video campaign, featuring O’Neill Global team rider Seb Toots, that puts you the viewer right at the heart of the action.

Taking interactive video marketing to the next level for the snow industry, this new and graphically unique campaign showcases the mind-blowing riding skills of Toots, as well as the multiple features that make The Bend his favorite Philips | O’Neill headphones to wear while tearing up the TTR World Snowboard Tour.

Tested on Animals: The Seb Toots Edition will see you calling the shots as Toots charges his way down the mountain. You get to decide what trick Seb pulls every time he approaches a kicker, rail or wall ride. From backside 7′s to backside 10 double corks and backside lips, you’ll enjoy a rare opportunity to realize your own vision of the ultimate park run courtesy of Toots’ phenomenal arsenal of tricks.

The video also provides an insight into the brutal testing that Toots subjected The Bend to. Built to resist the demands of a pro rider’s uncompromising lifestyle, The Bend features a robust construction including safe-release cans and a super-flexible headband for unbeatable resistance to impact forces. So on the few occasions that Toots does bail hard, all he need to worry about is himself, and not his headphones. An innovative anti-slip goggle grip, meanwhile, means Toots’ headphones always stay in place no matter how hard he throws down.

After wrapping up filming of the YouTube video in Whistler, Toots said: “That was a lot of fun. It’s been a hectic couple of days, but it worked out really good. This is the first time I’ve ever been involved in an interactive project like this, and its cool to do something that is new.”

The machine-like manchild, Sebastien Toutant AKA Seb Toots, has celebrated the launch of his own website – sebtoots.com – by dropping a full online part. Bangin!

You might think of Seb as a bit of a contest kid, but as you’ll see in this clip he certainly ain’t no one-trick pony. There’s a rail with like 700 kinks to start off and then he almost has a mid-air collision with a heli – and that’s just the beginning. Purists beware, there is no powder in this clip and it contains one triple cork…

Check this mother.

News about Seb Toots‘ Backside 1440 Triple Cork at the Red Bull Performance Camp at Squaw Valley/California had been circulating through the internet for a couple of days. Now Red Bull released the video footage, and this shows just how good of a rider the 18-year-old Canadian is. Insaneness!

The Onboard magazine crew arrived today in Laax just in time fort he slopestyle semi finals of the Burton European Open 2011. As our reliable office force already reported Peetu Piiroinen came in first, followed by Mark McMorris and Chas Guldemond. We were on our way up to the venue when we noticed two things that were to become the major challenges of today’s event: clouds and warm temperatures. While the first meant that most of the second half of the event was effected by poor visibility the latter had made the course, though shaped quite well, exceptionally slow.

The slopestyle course. Photo: Sami Tuoriniemi

However, being snowboard pros and all the riders did not seem to mind this too much and tried their best in their two runs each on the course. It consisted of the proven BEO setup a small jib section first followed by a quarter and a line of three kickers. Did we say we arrived just in time? To tell you the truth we were a few minutes late and only saw Chas Guldemond’s solid first run from the chair lift. This wasn’t to be beaten until well into the second run.

Did we say Chas Guldemond? Here he is in his second all-method-run. (he had already qualified for the finals) Photo: Sami Tuoriniemi

A lot of riders struggled with the conditions (add a bumpy course to the weather and slow snow and you won’t be surprised). Ethan Morgan, who just made the cut with his 10th place revealed one of the pro tips for the day: “If you want to clear the knuckle on the second kicker you should do a rodeo!” But even some of the seeded riders, like local hero Iouri Podladtchikov (who took a hard slam after a double back rodeo attempt in his second run) or Norwegian Mikkel Bang weren’t able to stick their runs and failed to qualify for the finals. Others secured their ticket to the finals in their second run, most prominently O’Neill Evolution and Air&Style Beijing winner Seb Toots, who nailed his run over kickers you had to ride by memory rather than by sight.

Once again, though, it was Peetu who stomped the run of the day: He kicked things off with a front 5 nosebonk at the first jib feature, did a 50-50 to gap 180 out over the down rail followed by a massive switch frontside air on the hip. Then he went to business with a cab 9 (if we remember correctly) and a backside rodeo 5 and garnished his run with a smooth back 10. He will be the man to beat on Friday ferr sherr.

The upper jib bit. Photo: Sami Tuoriniemi

Tomorrow will see the men’s halfpipe and the women’s slopestyle semi finals. Unfortunately the weather forecast looks similar to today, but the sun will make a glorious comeback on Friday – just in time for the slopestyle finals!
