IT’S THE FINAL BIG BANG THIS WEEKEND AT MILTON KEYNES

So here it is the final stop on the 2012 Big Bang Snowboard Show tour. This Saturday
they will pitch up at SNO!zone Milton Keynes for a full day of everything that we all love
about snowboarding. We have the UK’s biggest free* hardware demo, seminars from the
industries finest, free coaching sessions and special shop deals at the TSA store on the
day. Snowboard photographer James North will be hosting the photography seminar, TSA
backcountry veteran Will Hughes will be taking the helm on Stay Safe in the Mountains. It’s
going to be epic, see you on Saturday.

Jamie Nicholls Home Run Hits from Laax

So we were there in Laax at the end of a long day and about to head down. There home run was rammed full of jibs all the way down, so we wondered how many hits it was possible to squeeze in. As our 50-50s and Tindys would bore you, we collared young British scamp Jamie Nicholls and sent him down their awesome home run. The result is some thigh-burning super funtimes. Jamie is a frickin’ MACHINE! Check it out!

Results from Giro Big Air Championships in Milton Keynes

The British Snow Tour headed to Milton Keynes, SNO!zone last weekend for the Giro British Indoor Big Air Championships and Big Air Jam.

Spectators were treated to a multitude of fancy tricks, flips and big airs as the snowboarders gave it their all during the Giro Big Air Jam sessions. The overall Jam session winners were, Sparrow Knox (over 16’s), Matt Cory (under 16’s) and Katie Ormerod (women’s). A special shout-out also goes to Neil Prior from the Master’s category who donned a Super Mario outfit hoping it would give him a Power-Up over the kickers.

In the Women’s Giro Big Air Championships, with British Championship Titles and cash prizes up for grabs, it was defending big air champ, Katie Ormerod who impressed the most and added the 2010 Giro British Big Air Championship title to her impressive collection. Katie landed a big backside 360 over the 6m kicker to take the win. Second place with a stylish frontside 180, melon went to Sophie Nicholls, whilst third place went to youngster Becky Menday, who had been charging the kickers all day.

During the Men’s Giro Big Air Championships, judges were impressed with rodeo 5’s, big 720’s and cab spins. Sparrow Knox, who’d been killing it in the jam session stepped it up and landed a huge backside rodeo 5 on his first run to take the 2010 Giro Big Air Championship Title. Second place went to Mike Austin with his big bag of tricks and a textbook frontside rodeo 5, whilst third place with a big 720 went to Jordan Gee.

Sparrow commented: “I really enjoyed the new comp format and the jump was amazing, the perfect size. I’m stocked i won and my winnings are going to go towards my winter season.”

100 kids tried skiing or snowboarding for the first time during the event, courtesy of the Giro Learner Academies and a special shout-out or should we say – Shakira Wolf Cry, goes to MC James Thorne, who ministered an amazing atmosphere for competitors and spectators alike.

British Indoor Big Air Champs coming up

On Saturday 25th September the 2010 British Snow Tour will head to Milton Keynes, SNO!zone to host the highly anticipated Giro Big Air Championships and Big Air Jam.

Stopping off at two local secondary schools along the way on the 23rd & 24th September, the tour looks to inspire even more newcomers, give away 100 FREE lessons, offer FREE product testing and showcase some of the UK’s finest snowboarding and freeskiing.

The relaxed Giro Big Air Jam will kick start the day’s action offering spot prizes and awarding an overall under 16’s, over 16’s and Women’s jam session winner. The Giro British Big Air Championships with its all-new 3-run best runs counts competition format will be the highlight of the day’s action with British Championship titles up for grabs across five age categories: Kids, Youth, Junior, Senior and Masters. It’s time for the final leg of the TSA Shred Down series.

On Saturday the 27th February the SNO!zone Scotland will host what has come to be a storming grassroots jam format snowboard competition. At this final event the 2010 TSA Shred Down champion will be crowned and get to takeaway a brand spanking new setup for their troubles.

There is a whole host of sponsors onboard and prizes will be given out all night long for rider progression, best tricks and the overall winners.

We will see you north of the border 27th February from 8-10pm
